Collaboration with Pub Royale brewed with coconut, passion fruit and nutmeg.
It's getting pretty, pretty, pretty, dreary out, but inside Pub Royale restaurant, there's still bright and warm flavors being served up. Inspired by their love of all things bold, exciting, and delicious, we've brewed this beer with them. With lots of coconut and pineapple aromas on the nose, it smells like warmer weather. It's a perfect for when you can't go on vacation, but really want to.

Within the context of what this beer was supposed to be- an ale with tropical notes- Pipeworks hit the ball out of the park. That they do not continue to make this brew is nothing but a pure shame.
I had it fresh at the bar which Pipeworks collaborated with, Pub Royale in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood. It was served in a glass, fresh off the tap.
I have yet to have a smoother beer with such a wholesome, round taste profile and the appropriate amount of coconut, nutmeg, and pineapple flavoring (let me point out: I don't even like coconut). Drinking this beer made me, if only for a second, forget the Chicago winters.
I've also had this beer from a bottle, but unfortunately, it would be months after Pipeworks had bottled the brew and it didn't taste nearly as good. Nevertheless, I cannot stress how well made this beer was when I had it fresh.

Had this on 2016-04-27 in Columbia, PA from a 22oz bottle.
A - Almost clear, golden-orange with a 3/4-finger white head that fades quickly leaving nice lace.
S - As advertised on the bottle; I get passion fruit, coconut and a bit of nutmeg. For me, there's also a bit of celery aroma. Not much malt although it is sweet smelling.
T - Echoes the smell but even more passion fruit, coconut and nutmeg. Biscuit malt. Some herbal/medicinal/spearmint flavor to compliment the reasonable bitterness in the finish. Sweet, tropical and tasty.
M - Medium body and light-medium carbonation.
O - A nice change of pace. I feel like listening to Jimmy Buffett.

Draft at Pub Royale.
Hazy golden orange, lasting frothy foam leaves a collar of lace behind.
Aroma is unique, toasted coconut and pineapple conveys a tiki vibe.
Taste is similarly tropical with coconut and pineapple notes, I thought it was oak aged at first due the the prominent coconut. Medium bodied, zesty and citrusy, smooth and complex.
Very drinkable, interesting stuff I'll be looking for again soon.
