Pours opaque, black in color with 1/4 inch head. Taste is milk chocolate, vanilla, fudge, and light cinnamon. Medium-heavy bodied, way smooth, medium-low carbonation and sweet. Would like more cinnamon, but this is delicious...Amazingly smooth. Could have several glasses.

Cinnamon Abduction...I've been looking forward to this one. Pours a thick dark black into my Speigelau stout glass. Definitely picking up the cinnamon on the nose, along with with dark chocolate. The feel is thick and creamy. The taste is dark chocolate and warm cinnamon (warm, not hot-don't expect something like red hot candies because it's not that kind of cinnamon) along with some roasted coffee flavor I expect from an imperial stout. Picking up a bit of vanilla on the back end. This might be my favorite of the Abductions so far (full disclosure: I haven't tried all of them). Good job, Pipeworks!

Pours a silky and medium viscosity dark brown and sits black in the glass with alcohol legs but the thin layer of bubbly brown foam fades immediately.

Strong and wonderful aroma of dark chocolate, sweet vanilla, light coffee notes, roasty, and cinnamon.

Coffee, roasty goodness, strong chocolate, creamy vanilla, cinnamon is apparent but not overpowering and cleans the palate on the back end for another sip.

Heavy-bodied, low carbonation, creamy, sweet, silky smooth, well balanced.

Overall, I would rate this higher if the mouthfeel was a bit chewier, but one of the best in the Abduction line up. Truly solid with pungent aroma and flavor but not cloying and well balanced.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a nice dark brown foamy head with good retention. Aroma of cinnamon is pretty dominant though it is somewhat offset by roasted malt with some chocolate notes. Taste is a mix of roasted malt and chocolate notes with some strong cinnamon notes thought overall balance between flavours is pretty good. Body is full with nice creamy texture and good carbonation. Not that big of a cinnamon fan but enjoyable nonetheless.

22 oz. bottle, no bottled on date, but just released today. 'Imperial stout brewed with cinnamon, cacao, and vanilla'. Brilliant artwork; probably one of the best labels on any Pipeworks beer.

Poured into a Duvel tulip snifter.

A - Pours a thick opaque black body, no conjuration of head, merely some dark chocolate mocha bubbles that forms as a ring around the glass. Glassy and opaque black. Sticky sugary spotty lacing falls back into the beer. Looks excellent.

S - Aroma is loaded with tons of authentic cinnamon spice. Huge cinnamon, huge cacao, huge vanilla. Smells creamy, fresh, spicy, and authentic.

T - Taste follows the nose: bursting with gooey cacao / chocolate, creamy sticky vanilla syrup, and authentic fresh powdery cinnamon spice. Has a particularly prolonged chocolate / coffee / roasty bitterness that hangs on. Sticky, sugary, chocolatey, fudgey, cinnamon-y.

M - Feel is smooth & creamy. Medium-full body with low carb. Sticky & sugary, with lots of authentic cinnamon spice lingering on the finish.

Overall, a delicious cinnamon variant on the signature stout from Pipeworks.

22 ounce bottle into a snifter. Bottled 4/6/16, had 4/16/16.

Pours a dark chocolate brown, opaque and oily looking. Not much of a head, some lacing. Smell is malt, lots of cinnamon, chocolate, light vanilla. The taste pretty much follows the nose with the malt and cinnamon, cocoa, some chocolate and vanilla. Smooth, somewhat creamy, good- but lighter body than I can remember in any Abduction, the taste lingers a bit.

Great use of cinnamon, the flavors blend well. Surprised the body was not as full. A very good beer and worth a purchase if you can still get it.

Pouring like the black void of space, Cinnamon Abduction displays a two-three finger, dark mocha, dense uniform head that retains for a good little while at first pour, then dies completely to nothing and never returns as it warms--almost like the appearance of a sour. Odd.

Very roasty aroma up front, with walnut and almond, sort of like natural toasted cacao. Very light on cinnamon. It gets a little cheesy as it warms. The cinnamon actually disappears more, and is very nearly absent.

Tangy intense roastiness up front hints at a very luxurious session. A slick sweetness of vanilla is present, roastiness really sticks to the mouth at first when cold, but again, the cinnamon is very light, almost nonexistent. Cacao is nutty. I didn't know Pipeworks did stouts like this, but, my early impressions were knocked down a peg or two because this is one of the rare dark beers that actually degrades as it warms--it actually thins out and becomes one note, like a faintly nutty porter.

Semi-dry, fizzy, then thin and flat when coming to temp. I just can't compare this to other spiced or Mexican hot chocolate inspired stouts. In its totality, it's more of a sweet stout because the cinnamon gets totally lost.
