16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 10/30/2019. Pours very hazy deep golden amber/light orange color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big tangerine, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, blueberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, light honey/toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt notes; with big strength. Taste of big tangerine, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, blueberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, light honey/toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, blueberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, light honey/toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness and carbonation. Medium-plus carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, and sticky/resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol of 6.5% or lingering hop burn after the finish. Overall this is a fantastic NEIPA. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and pretty refreshing to drink with the mellowly bitter/resinous/drying finish; nicely soft feel and not aggressive. Fantastic Mosaic, Amarillo profile. Extremely juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hops; with a nice sized wheat/oat/malt backbone. Mild residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and impressive spot on style example. Loved the hop profile as expected.

16oz can. Poured out a cloudy, golden-yellow color with a small, off-white head of foam. It smelled of pineapple, grapefruit and sweet caramel. Great tropical fruit taste with sweet toasted caramel.

De Labirratorium. En copa Teku. Viendo Rick y Morty 1x09-11. No la clasificaria como new england, le falta dulzor frutal. Tiene perfil mas bien herbal con notas jabonosas. Rica pero no espectacular

From a 16oz can:

Appearance: Cloudy yellow, good head.

Smell: Dank at first, then citrus and berries.

Taste: Nice sweetness, citrus and fruitiness next, some orange juice quality to it but mostly stays more fruity. Moderate bitterness.

Overall: This NEAPA mostly stays away from tasting directly like orange juice, which is a plus in my book. Nice sweetness and variety of hop flavors instead of a vague orange flavor.

Can. Cloudy pale yellow orange with lasting head and lace. tropical fruit aroma with some hay. Sweet tangy tropical fruit tangerine sweetness with medium light bitterness in citrus and stone fruit finish. Medium light body soft and not fizzy, but otherwise a NE PA. I yearn for a SNPA.

Canned 3/7/19; drank 3/16/19 @ the Yarchives.

Opaque dull orange/yellow appearance.

A violent pour yielded a big, bright white head; strong, frothy lace.

Wheat, table sugar & pineapple notes in the nose.

Medium mouthfeel.

Dry wheat & table sugar flavors up front; mild pineapple notes on the finish.

A drinkable pale ale, but the flavors are muted & too dry. Not one I'll return too.

Pours a matte orange color. Thick frothy white head dissipates steadily leaving nothing but a thin layer of foam on top of the beer. Lots of sticky white lacing coats the glass.

Aroma has notes of orange, grapefruit, pineapple and mango. Very fruity, slightly sweet but mostly just a fragrant bouquet.

Taste follows the nose with notes of orange, pineapple and some grassy bitterness with a grapefruit rind aspect coming through as well. Semi-sweet, but the bitterness cuts it. Overall its pretty well balanced.

Feel is smooth, light and drinkable. Light carbonation.

Overall a very nice NE style IPA.

Canned 12-6-18 into IPA glass.
L: Light hazy orange. Light head and lacing.
S: Orange citrus, some tropical and dank pine.
T: Pineapple, tropical, orange and some earthy/pine bite.
F: Piney bitterness, medium carbonation, medium MF.
O: I bought these back in mid-late January. For being close to 3 month's old.. the hops are still front/center. An excellent tasting APA that holds its flavor profile from start to (after warming) finish. I really like the hop bite vs smooth MF. Sometimes a brewery needs to hang on to a great tasting recipe. Make it a rotating, seasonal APA...

Pours a hazed gold with a thumb+ of rocky pearl colored head. Superior head retention & good lacing

S: Tropical, citrusy & malty

T: Light orangey notes, powdery dryness, tangerine up front. Tangerine, dryness, grapefruit, some creamy/milkshake notes as this warms. Finishes strong with pomelo, dryness & a touch of lime & sweet orange

MF: Medium body, slight carbonation, super balance

So easy to drink, no flaws in this one, cheers to FBarber for this beauty!

Hazy gold/pale orange, mild lacing. Slight citrus notes on the smell, lemony, orange. Taste is tangy and juicy, not overpowering, not weak, no bitterness. Mouth watering, mouth filling, easy drinker and super tasty. Not the biggest mosaic fan, but this one shines.

16oz can, date stamped 12/06/18. Opaque & hazed yellow-orange colored body with a rocky & foamy white head. Excellent hop aroma with a boost from the cryo-Mosaic: passion fruit, lemon-lime, and tangerine come to mind. Great flavors focused on juicy tropical hops: passion fruit, lemon-lime, lemongrass, grapefruit, and tangerine; malt is mild with maybe some biscuit & cracker - but it's all about the hops with this one. Medium body, moderate carbonation, very resinous but bitterness is kept at bay. Nice hazy APA with modern hop utilization. You can always count on Pipeworks to satisfy your hop cravings!

Poured a hazy non-translucent orangish yellow color with a foamy white head. The aromas were heavy of fresh tangerines with its juices and bitter peel. Just a tiny bit of vanilla at the nose. Then there are flavors of citrus, vanilla and lactose (yes I'm well aware its not a lactose IPA). Flavors maybe just a little muted, could be more juicy. But thats seems to be the trend with many hazy style beers. The mouthfeel has perfect carbonation with almost a creamy feel. Overall: a great pale ale that I'm happy to easily pick up in Wisconsin.

Can. This is a yummy ass beer. Looks, smells, tastes the part. I spent money and time at one of the “stalwarts” of this style of beer today (I livein Boston so take a wild guess) and this is the best “New England” style mudbeer today. Always liked this brand so maybe I’m a bit biased but well done.

Fresh batch canned 2018-12-06. Creamy golden pour with excellent retention, not much sedimentation to rinse out for recycling. Nebulous melon and lemongrass notes on the nose, honeydew, grass, pomelo, and light vanilla on the palate. Fairly full-bodied for 6.5% ABV.

Thanks to HIGHPA for this 16 oz. can that arrived as a recent extra. Every day I wake up & say “The more Pipeworks the better”.

Are Northeast Pale Ales a thing now? ‘Cause that’s what the optics tell me. Extremely pale yellow, opaque, appears to have come out of the fruit beverage aisle at Cub Foods. The nose is pineapple & hay. I wonder if those grow adjacent to one another anywhere.

Supremium Hypster Beast Mode looks hip, tastes throwback. Light fruit notes are dominated by spring formal florals, caramel malty sweetness, additional sugary sweetness, lunging into a sharp, tangy bitterness on the finish that sticks. Thick & grainy, especially for the modest, IPA level ABV.

Nothing to see here. Just a good, solid beer.

Gotta say that Pipeworks really hit it out of the park with this one. Here goes:

A: Yellow emulsion - very cloudy but light. Pours a small head that readily dissipates, leaving surprisingly little lacing. Just alright.

S: Very, very floral. Slight fruitiness, but mostly grassy notes with some lemon rind. I like it a lot.

T: Follows the nose - lots of herbally grassiness with lemon sourness. Follows the nose to a T.

F: Very soft - like an NEIPA.

O: This is a really good beer, at least in my opinion.

poured from a 16oz can into a nonic pint glass. pours a hazy, turbid orange with 3 fingers of frothy white head. smells of pithy orange with a slight bit of dank hoppiness. taste is similar with a nice combination of dank and fruitiness. it’s extremely easy drinking yet very flavorful. mouthfeel is full with a good amount of carbonation. overall, i thought this was an excellent APA. it’s over-the-top NE-style but it’s very easy drinking and enjoyable in 16oz pours.
