Pours a bright yellow-orange color. Thin weak white head dissipates quickly leaving a couple spots of sudsy foam. Lots of lacing is left on the glass as the beer is consumed as the small lingering head remains present throughout.

Aroma is bright and fruity with some lemon, lemongrass, and orange notes with a grassy herbal finish.

Taste follows the nose and has notes of lemon, lemongrass, tangerine, white grape, and a herbal grassy hop flavor reminiscent of alfalfa that does take on a bit of a vegetal character. The hops in this provide a pretty unique profile. Very dry grassy finish. Not super bitter. Bit of alcohol does come through in this one, you can definitely taste it especially as it warms.

Feel is smooth, lighter bodied for aNE style IPA. Pretty easy drinking on the feel side of things. Bright vibrant carbonation.

Overall a solid NE Style IPA.

16oz, canned on 04/23/19. Thanks to my friend, Derek, for giving me a can to try. Opaque pineapple-orange juice colored ale with a creamy off-white head. Citrusy aroma with earthy lemongrass. Good flavors: lots of lemony citrus and passion fruit; sour & bitter kumquat, grapefruit, and some oats in the background. Full body, creamy but a bit resinous, modestly bitter finish. Pipeworks has always been a master of using hops, and this was no exception - I think they did great things with the hops used in this one; just not something I'd get again.

S: Tropical fruits, hops. Smells wonderful.

T: Tropical fruits, hoppy. Very unique hop flavor from the styrian wolf.

F: Light to medium bodied, plenty of flavor.

O: A very unique NEIPA. Not easy to find nowadays.

Smells good but looks like shite and does not taste much better than it looks. Besides the aroma the next best thing about this beer is its lovely texture and body.

16oz can served in a pint glass. Dated 4/23/19.

Pours hazy, light amber, small head, medium to low carbonation. Smell is piney, resinous, maybe guava.

Taste is brighter guava flavor, some grapefruit and pine, bitter finish.

Mouthfeel is moderately thick. Overall, pretty good.

L: Two finger head on a less than aggressive pour, a coloring between apple and orange juice and totally opaque.

S: Vibrant stone fruits - gets better as it breathes. Reminds be of an unrippened peach.

T: Quite hoppy, but difficult to pick out anything these rarer hop are contributing. A bit of astringency and white grape.

F: A medium body that could want for a touch more carbonation it it weren't so bitter.

O: Different in it's own right but not a standout - a beer that hazy-haters might rag on.

Canned 4/23/19; drank 5/5/19 @ the Yarchives.

Opaque orange/yellow appearance.

A violent pour yielded a HUGE off-white head; a thick curtain of frothy lace.

Lemon, grapefruit & oat notes in the nose.

Medium mouthfeel.

Tart lemon & mild grapefruit flavors up front; dry oat notes on the finish.

A miss on the NE IPA tip they're going for...it's way too drying on the finish. Decent, but not one to track down.

16 ounce can into tulip glass; no can dating, but is a recent release. Pours opaquely hazy deep golden/amber. light orange/green color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, gooseberry, anise, white grape/wine, citrus peel/zest, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops and bready malt notes; with big strength. Taste of huge mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, gooseberry, anise, white grape/wine, citrus peel/zest, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, gooseberry, anise, white grape/wine, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance; and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready/grainy, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is great. Slight lingering resins/rinds through the glass. Zero warming alcohol for 6.5%. Overall this is a fantastic NEIPA. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/drying finish; great soft feel. Fantastic Styrian Wolf, Hallertau Blanc profile. Extremely juicy, and fairly dank/earthy hops; with a great balanced wheat/oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and spot on style example as expected.
