Canned on 9/8/21. 16oz can poured into a tulip. Pours a light pale golden with solid clarity; fluffy white head that falls leaving nice retention and sticky lacing. The aromas have hints of citrus. Lots of breads and crackers. Malts are there. The flavors basically follow the nose. More citrus along with some tropical notes. Some orange and grapefruit. Subtle hints of peach and apricot in the mix. Lots of fresh grass. More crackers and breads. Decent bitterness. Subtle sweetness. Malts do their thing. Finishes juicy and dry at the same time. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied with active carbonation. It's sharp, fluffy, smooth and slightly creamy.

This is a decent IPA. This is my first beer from Pipeworks, so I can't say that I'm "blown away", but it's not bad or anything like that. It's well crafted.

Bright straw pour with a minimal head, some retention tho.
Bold and fruity scents.
Real juicy with oranges, citrus flavors.
Light-medium feel here.
Liked it but wouldn't do two in a row of this beer.

The smell and taste are definitely brighter, and I wish I had a better description. While there are some complex notes there can be more depth and body to the overall flavor. Definitely not bad, and very drinkable. I always enjoy Pipeworks offerings.

Tall can.

Pours out with a minor haze, light khaki cap and leaving a bunch of fine sheeting.

Lemon/lome and grapefruit on the sniff.

Bright and flavorful brew, lemon/lime again and some grapefruit. Tasty and enjoyable brew...nice everyday kinda IPA.

Lightly hazed golden-yellow (not unlike white wine) with a fat finger of yellowed head. Clingy white lacing and a lasting wispy cap.

Sweet melon stands out most in the nose, coupled with a touch of clementine and a little pepper.

More watered down and bitter tasting than the aroma suggested — again with melon and pepper, but a lot less sweetness.

Medium bodied, lightly creamy, with a little zip to the carbonation.

A fine beer.

Gold in color with a light haziness. There’s a half inch of frothy off white on top. The aroma is of citrus and light malt. I’m tasting a burst of mandarin oranges and the hop burn lingers through the swallow. The mouth is resinous and dense.

16 oz can from 4 pack, into Ploughshare glass.
No date printed here - all the 4 packs on the shelf were bald on the bottom!

Pours a foggy slightly transparent blonde with a tall spit toothpaste head of 2 fingers, leaving lots of webbed lacing as it recedes.

Aroma is very citrusy and sweaty, it's just delicious smelling. Dank cannabis and orange juice intermingle wonderfully. Pleasing armpit aromas as well.

Flavor brings more caramel malt than expected but has a lot of Citra action and that snap of the Citra hop brings the brightness back into play real quick. Has a good amount of grapefruit rind and tangerine rind, some basil or oregano, with just a hint of hop spoilage letting me know this beer will run its course in about a week.

Feel is very juicy and acidic with a sharp carbonation and a light-medium body. Feels a bit like a session beer, maybe a notch above it. Some moderate heat that ebbs and flows. Clingy resiny finish with lingering tingling heat.

Overall, this isn't the worst beer I've had by Pipeworks, but not the best either. I'd rank it above Pineapple Guppy and below Lizard King. I think I liked it more than most people. It's basically a Citra bomb with just a touch too much caramel malt.

As I've worked my way though the 4 pack, at times it's absurdly good, and at other times, it's just totally meh.

Price paid : $10.99 / 4 pack
Would buy again : depends on my mood

Canned 8/31, taste 9/22. Pours an almost rose pink, but settles in the glass a clear, strange dirty dishwater color. Not appealing. Smell is straight candy, and the taste mostly follows the taste, not sweet just fruity somehow, but so light and passing it's hardly there. Better than a mass produced beer, but not a repeat and a true fail for a great brewery.

Picked-up a four-pack of cans at Bradford's in Plymouth for about fourteen dollars. Have had many brews from these guys before. They make solid, consistent beer, @ appealing price points. I liked this very much, will get again.

Look: look at this can after about 4 deep along with a tab of acid lol. You will be trippin yo balls off then back on.

Smell: hufflepuffed it

Taste: damn good beer. A strong bite and flavor but really enjoyable. What you expect in a citra ipa

Feel: kinda fricked up after 4 of these. So feeling drunk. And a little stoney brooked tbh

Overall: I would drink this beer again. I also think the van looked cool.

$ 4.00 (Including tax)/16 oz can ($ 0.250/oz). Purchased 5/15/20 from Franklin Beer, Franklin, PA. In reefer at store. Reviewed 5/24/20.
Stamped on bottom rim of can “02/12/20”. Stored at home upside down at 42 degrees and served at 45 degrees in a hand washed and dried Jester King snifter.
Appearance – 3.
First pour – Pale straw (SRM 2), hazy.
Body – Straw (SRM 3), murky and opaque. When held to direct light, same.
Head – Large (Maximum 6.5 cm, aggressive center pour), white, high density with a few rocks, average retention, diminishing to an eight to twenty-two mm ragged crown and a complete cap of varying thickness with many rocks.
Lacing – Fair. Irregular bands of three-dimensional torn curtain lacing covering about one third of the glass.
Aroma – 3.25 – Weak citrus, no malt, no yeastiness.
Flavor – 3.25 – Very weak citrus, slightly bitter, no malt, no yeast. No alcohol (7.3% ABV, as marked on the label) taste or aroma. A weak gastric warming does occur but that seems to originate more from hops than alcohol. No diacetyl or dimethylsulfide.
Palate – 3 – Medium, watery, soft carbonation.
Final impression and summation: 3.25. Pleasant enough American IPA, a bit overpriced IMHO. Late belches produce more citrus flavor than the initial swallows. The label design is a cartoonish paisley-like design with cat faces, yarn balls, paws, bells, and necklaces - symmetric, colorful, and fairly detailed. There is little information on the label. One and done.

My first beer from Pipeworks and a tasty one at that. Tons of citrus and floral flavors from all of the Citra hoping. The booze does kind of linger for a bit but at 7.3% this can be a good reminder and it’s still very drinkable. A good well rounded IPA.

16oz can, 02.21.2020 stamped on the bottom of the can, poured into a Pipeworks etched snifter glass.

The beer pours a slightly cloudy straw color, orange and golden hues, with a foamy finger of white head that has good retention and moderate lacing. The aroma is pleasant, lots of bright citra hops, orange and grapefruit, bright floral bouquet, light pine, biscuit malt and light booze. The flavors are good, tons of citrus, lots of orange with some more bitter and tangy grapefruit, lightly floral, grassy and piney with a nice bitterness while biscuit and booze linger. The mouthfeel is good, crisp and coating medium body, nice and lively with a dry finish.

Verdict: A good IPA from Pipeworks. Lots and lots of citra hops, nicely expressed with lots of tropical flavors that is well balanced albeit slightly boozy.

Clear, vibrant golden hue, slim white head.

In the nose: positively screaming Citra. Big lemon and orange, grapefruit and a pinch of papaya. Beautiful.

In the mouth: Bursts with fruit on the palate, quickly turning dry. Nicely hopped, bumping with citrus flavors. Just a touch of the juicy. Delicious. Absolutely, positively delicious. Medium body, easy drinking. I'm enjoying this quite a bit.

Pours a slightly cloudy bright yellow with a nice full white head. Good retention and great lacing. Aroma is faint pineapple and melon with a touch of citrus. Flavor follows the nose with a bit of buttery goodness that I know many find a poor quality in beer, but I actually like. Feel is light bodied and could use a tad more carbonation. Overall a fine enough brew.

A clear beer. Imagine that. Gold. Light foam and lacing. Mild tangy tropical fruit notes, a slight bit of funkiness hiding. Taste is slightly bitter with a bit of some kind of sweet fruit underneath. Unfortunately, I just can’t quite tell what. It’s light to medium bodied, crisp, slightly creamy, mouth watering, and a bit of an alcohol presence. Interesting and good, but I hear the words Pipeworks, Infinite, and Citra and I expect a bit more.

Picked up a four-pack of this for a rather good price ($12.99 for 4x16oz cans) earlier, had one without thinking much of it, and now finally returning after several other beers this session for a real review. Infinite Citra is a 7.3% ABV IPA featuring the much-lauded (and sometimes reviled) Citra hop... I do truly wonder if the cats all over the label have anything to do with this hop being known for its "cattiness" (that is, a nice way of saying it smells like cat piss at times). Let's hope Pipeworks is just playing around and this is more well-balanced than that. After all, these guys have done a really good job on some of their recent beers.

Pours a moderately cloudy light-orange color with a thick and creamy head of white foam that settles down to, well, about two fingers. Damn, that's some retention. Like, I was waiting for this foam to fade out a bit, but it just doesn't go anywhere at all! Nice legs and some decent soapy lacing as well. It's not an opaque haze-bomb by any means, so may your fears about such thing be allayed. A really good looking IPA!

The nose is initially a little bit concerning due to the presence of a moderate-to-high amount of diacetyl. This just has an overall buttery aroma that I can't jive with too much, but behind that are some very solid notes of guava, blueberry, mango, and passion fruit. I can also get a bit of tangerine and orange marmalade, along with a tiny bit of pine resin.

On the tongue, I'm glad this doesn't have any of the weird slickness I associate with diacetyl (though that element does somewhat persist in the nose), and the main profile has some aspects I would typically associate with Mosaic, mostly the berry-like character that pervades the palate. Strong bitterness crossed with flavors of tangerine, guava, orange marmalade, and pine resin... good stuff. Like someone else said in another review, this does have some aspects I do not typically see in Citra; it almost feels like this involves Mosaic hops, too...

Feel is pillowy and very soft upfront, though there is some harshness when it comes to the finish. The carbonation is all well-and-good, but it almost feels like some carbonic acid is present that makes the whole thing a bit rough. That said, this is a pretty good beer that I got a cheap four-pack of, so I can't complain too much.
