This is really rich. Spumoni impresses for sure. Some pistachio, chocolate, cherries...

Very sweet. Full bodied. Worth trying but too rich and cloying.

Brownish black with a brown cap that quickly fades into a ring. Smell is best aspect like the non-imperial version, with nice dark candied cherry and cocoa, with a kick of pistachio in there on the finish. Smell is sweet make no mistake, but the taste is even more so: candy cherry, semisweet chocolate, vanilla, pistachio creme, and lingering licorice and roast, cloys a bit. Feel is sickly sweet, light for style, though creamy. Too sweet, like the non-imperial version better

16oz can, shared with my wife. A thinner tan head quickly fades atop a black stout. Aroma is sweet with a mixture of chocolate, cherry, nut, lactose, vanilla, and a hint of toasted coconut. Cloyingly sweet flavors with notes of cacao nibs, vanilla, maraschino cherry, pistachio, lactose, mild roast, and earthy hops. Full creamy body, sticky & cloyingly sweet, lower carbonation, booze is well hidden, sweet finish. Overall, far too sweet for my liking. I had a hard time enjoying it because I was too busy looking for my insulin pen.
