A deep amber almost brown in color with 2 fingers of frothy off white head. Smells deliciously sweet like caramel and very floral and piney hop notes. The flavor is arable up front, slight toastyness, then a nice grapefruit/pine hop subtle ness. A very delicious sweet amber with medium body and medium carbonation. Definitely worth getting again.

One more beer from Kevinpitts! Into my tulip out of ye olde bottle.
A – Hazy raspberry idea tea looking on the pour. Quick finger of frothy tan head that stuck around and left spotty lacing.
S – Nice hoppy smell. Citrus.
T – Piney and hoppy attack the palate right away. Grapefruit and lemon. Resinous. Malt punch. Finishes off with just a tiny touch of sweetness.
M – Lively on the palate with good carbonation. Touch of slickness. Medium bodied.
O – Right after imperial stouts, reds are my next favorite and this one is tasty. This is very easy to drink. Nice balanced red with a great hoppy flavor. Pipeworks strikes again and Kevin hooked me up again!

Batch 42

A - Pours deep amber with some crimson and almost three fingers of tan head. Head has nice retention and leaves lots of lacing.

S - Hops and malts battle for prevalence, but I think piney hops win out. Also a lot of caramel malt and a bit of biscuit. Some noticeable alcohol.

T - Similar to the smell there is a nice hop presence, mostly pine. Caramel malt provides some nice balance without becoming sweet. Also some biscuit taste. Very nice.

M - Very smooth medium mouthfeel with bitterness throughout and a lingering earthiness.

O - Another nice one from Pipeworks, and another example of how increasing the hop component can take a style I don't like and make it very enjoyable.

16 oz can. Pours reddish amber with a big off white meringue head that retains well and laces the glass some.

The aroma is sweet caramel malts with lots of fruity resiny piney dank hops.

The flavor is sweet nutty caramel malt with lots of fruity resiny piney hop bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation.

Overall, a very nice hoppy red.

16 oz can, "4/18/16 Drink Ur Blood" printed on the bottom

Pours hazed, glowing ruby reddish darker amber, lasting luxorious dark khaki cap, leaves low sheeting, strands and spots of lacing.

Malted up nose with piney hops

Big and bold, with more dense malt notes, pine and resiny hops mostly on the back end and in the finish. Balanced and flavorful. Sweet malts in charge here, but enough hops to lend character and build interest. Well worth a try.

Poured from the 16oz can with no visible freshness date into a pint glass last night. Comes out a light brown with ruby highlights, slight bit of floaties in the liquid. Small white head dies down to a ring and leaves some lacing.

Smell is somewhat malty and caramel but it's got a piney and herbal hop backbone in there, too. Flavor wise it starts off pretty malty and sweet. Caramel and fruit notes in the middle with a bit of grain. Finishes somewhat bitter but not in a crazy way, nice herbal notes here from the hops.

Overall it's a very drinkable beer, the malts are never too crazy to make a heavy body and the hops lay in the back to provide a little zing. Overall it's a very nice structured amber ale for the cooler months that border winter.

(Served in a tulip glass)
Batch 16
A- This beer pours a dense clear glowing red body with a wall of microbubbles sliding up the side of the glass. There is a thick light beige head that sticks to the glass in sheets.

S- The full vibrant woody green citrus hops have some pineapple weed aromas that linger with a slight minty hue coming through as it warms.

T- The full green hops have a green citrus flavor with some green spice notes to it. There is a soft toasted malt sweetness underneath with some alcohol taste coming through on the exhale.

M- The medium mouthfeel has a full scrubbing fizz that boost the hop flavor in the finish and no alcohol heat noticed.

O- This beer has a big deep hop flavor that has good malt hints but the fizz starts to get a bit too big as it opens. This is a nice hop monster but no hop bitterness makes this very drinkable.

Batch 102

A: Blood of unicorn bro - ruby red blended with blood orange. Great american strong ale-looking head - orange tinged beige with sticky big bubble lacing.

S: Not incredibly complex, but great. Big sticky, resinous pine and sugared grapefruit peel. A slight bubble-gum sweetness. Orange peel and mango follow. Not incredibly malty, but sticky caramel and toffee are definitely the backbone. Enticing

T: Tastes like a really hoppy american strong ale. Big slap of bitterness hits first, then malty and fruity hop sweetness on the middle of the mouth, the resinous pine cones and caramel coat the mouth. Very sticky and fresh

P: Sticky, chewy, very solid medium body pushing to full. Carbonation does not get in the way.

O: I had a previous batch of this and can tell they are improving. Much fuller and more vibrant. Great stuff
