Appropriate hazey yellow appearance, abundant carbonation. Smell is lemon, triscuits, but a bit damp and vegetal. The musty note doesn't carry through to the flavor and we're left with a moderately sour lemon spritzer with some distinct grain tones. Well done; put this one in cans!

22 oz. bottle, Batch #753. Finally getting to try this Berliner Weissbier offering from the geniuses at Pipeworks. This is the lowest abv beer from Pipeworks that I've tried yet, also.

Poured into a Duvel tulip glass.

A - Pours a pale yellow body with about a finger of good creamy white head. Appears well carbonated, especially when given a nice swirl.

S - A pleasant aroma. Light, wheaty, grainy, with good lactic souring, and even a bit of that cheesy burnt torilla type aroma I associate often with Berliners. It's just the grain / wheat. Smells very nice, and on the right track.

T - Excellent. Refreshingly crisp, tart / sour, and light. The lactic acid lends a very sour / citric lemony freshness. Grainy & wheaty, with a hint of bacterial yeastiness present on the finish.

M - The feel is crisp & tart. Light-bodied and extremely easy-drinking.

Overall, an excellent Berliner from Pipeworks! I absolutely cannot wait for their sour program to be up and running. Looking forward to much more.

Gave this one 1/2 star on untappd two years ago, pretty sure it was a drain pour. Pipeworks do not deserve a 1/2 star for any of their beers. Will have to try it again to see if my taste buds have changed or if it was a really bad bottle
