No sign of a bottling date, shame on you Pipeworks.

A: Pours a mostly-clear light orange. Very tall and frothy tan head. Head fades slowly, leaving fairly heavy chunks of lacing behind.

S: Citrusy with a side of tropical fruit. Light bready notes. It's been months since I've had a beer so I'm sure I'm rusty.

T: Hops are bristly and sharp but the flavor is surprisingly less bold. Again, citrus and tropical fruit. Beer may be old, who knows but it doesn't have that distinct stale hop flavor yet. I'd say 2-4 months old. Fairly sweet, this is 10% after all. Lots of breadiness and then some citrus and flowers on the back end.

M: Medium-heavy and slightly harsh from the hops.

O: Nice DIPA but I suspect a bit old, which definitely detracts from a beer like this. Quite good regardless.

Hazy appearance, oranges and clover on the nose and tongue. A bit thin and not as drinkable as I was hoping for. Good, but I expected better from Pipeworks, especially considering Ninja vs Unicorn is always great.

Poured from a bomber into a snifter. Mildly hazy amber color with a medium-sized white head. Nice lacing and retention. Great aroma out of the bottle on the pour, with candied oranges, pineapple, and tropical fruit. The tropical notes were there on the palate, featuring pineapple and tangerine. A sturdy malt backbone that was bready and dry but not harsh. I was impressed with the drinkability of this 10% DIPA compared to others (Hopslam). Well done.

22 ounce bottle into a snifter. Bottled 10/13/16, had 11/10/16.

Pours a medium amber/orange, lightly hazy, with a one inch head of thick foam, and a ring of foamy cling that increases as it warms. The smell is orange, grapefruit and pineapple citrus hops, yeast. A little pine, some dankness. The taste opens up a little more, with malt, pineapple, grapefruit and lighter orange citrus hops. Then malt, some caramel, pine- but it's not as dank as the nose, light alcohol. Smooth, well carbonated, refreshing. A little lighter bodied than the usual Pipeworks DIPA.

A great aroma and good flavor, lots of hops and enjoyable. Another big effort from Pipeworks.

a truly discerning ipa drinker would almost have to swear this beer is fruited. maybe some orange peel, some lime, some kumquat or abstract or niche citrus, not alas, its not! almost nowhere else in my beer experience (which now is quite expansive) has there been hop flavors this intensely fruity, almost beyond what seems genetically possible, i would love more than the vague product description. what kind of hops? how much of them? when? how long? all of that. this is so different from others on the hop front, new zealand on steroids, really brilliant. the beer is almost too big though, it benefits little from its strength, and its obvious alcohol potency is a distraction, not undesirable, but at least unnecessary. there is some residual sugar here too, which at first i think complements the hops, but by the time the beer is almost gone, i find it too much, not quite cloying, but a shade or two drier would help. all this is to say the beer isnt perfect but the distinctive and intense nature of the hops make it amazing and memorable, and very much a wonderful continuation of this unicorn thing pipeworks has going. unique and fantastic big boy ipa.

Had it on tap out of a tulip glass.

Look: relatively clear medium amber with a 1/4 finger of head.

Smell: bready malts with some green resinous herbs(think rosemary) in the background.

Taste: much more spruce and rosemary on the palate along with a sweet malty quality that is pretty consistent of beers with this alcohol level.

Mouthfeel: medium plus mouthfeel. Is surprising drinkable for 10%!

Overall(style points): Definitely leans more west coast in style. More of a resin bomb than a juice bomb. A good beer but not my style. 88 points.

Poured from a 22oz bottle into a Speiglau IPA glass.

Look is a amber copper color with a full white head that dissipates quickly.

Aroma is sweet malt, butter scotch, and bubble gum.

Bubble gum hops on the taste along with astringent alcohol. Gives way to a sticky malty sweetness.

Not my favorite high ABV pipeworks, but it is good.
