Pipeworks Brewing Raspberry Truffle Abduction.

Poured from a bomber into my trusty CBS snifter. Served at cellar temp, and enjoyed by the fire on my patio.

A) A black colored brew as expected. The pour generated a big tan head. The head settled to a thin dusting. This has some legs.

S) Man am I loving the raspberry on the nose with this brew. I've always enjoyed the combination of raspberry and chocolate, and this brew is definitely bringing it.

T) As stated above.... This stout has such an incredible combination of raspberry and chocolate. The flavor reminds me of this candy bar I ate while walking around in Mannheim Germany. It's also worth noting the alcohol is amazingly well hidden.

M) Full bodied and smooth. If it were a tad thicker, I'd be fine with that, like say the mouthfeel of their Coffee Break Abduction. Love the raspberry aftertaste.

O) Absolutely loved this beer start to finish. I mean not the kind of love that a man has for their wife and kids, or even a professional football team, but the kind of love you have for a beer. If you enjoy raspberry and chocolate, you need to try this beer.

Dark brown verging on black in the glass. Delightful raspberry aroma. Taste is of chocolate and raspberry. A bit thin. Overall a nice fruited stout.

A: porter-black ale with a couple of fingers of tan foam

S: dark roasty malt chocolates sparkling with bright berry notes

T: dark juicy berries pop right through; as you drink, smoother chocolaty flavors settle in; left impressions of creamy cocoa with bright red berries on top

M: smooth, almost light and fluffy; sparkle of tart berry on the tongue; no cloying sweetness at all; bittersweet chocolate is subtle...

O: an excellent stout - impossible not to enjoy - makes me think of what Bourbon County Bramble and Backyard Rye ales might taste like without the rye or bourbon...

Batch #94

A - Pours a dark brown with a fluffy light brown head that fades very slowly.

S - Lots of raspberry and chocolate malts.

T - Tons of raspberry through out, bitter-dry chocolate keeps it from being overly sweet.

D - Good carbonation with a heavy body.

O - Nice raspberry and not super sweet. Best of the series for me.

Served in a pint from the bottle.

Appearance: Super dark brown-black body. Head is dark tan rising just over a finger's length off the body with medium bubbles.

Smell: Sweet warm brown sugar.

Taste: Sweet complex and heavy dose of fruit. You taste molasses and vanilla with a definite note of raspberries or cherries.

Mouth: Syrupy and soft caramel....very sticky. Carbonation is just right and light coffee after feel.

Overall: Good brew. Might
