My only drainpour from Pipeworks ever. Too much gross citrus. Not a fan.

Bottle (2013)

Hazed dark orange with a very persistent bone-white head of big bubbles. Sticky and lined lacing left down the glass.

Very lime juice and lime zest forward in the aroma, along with some floral and biscuit notes, especially as the beer warms. Interesting, and I certainly have never smelled a beer quite like this before.

As with the aroma, there is lots and lots of lime flavor in this one. It has the acidic, biting, fresh lime character from a fresh, juicy lime. There isn't a lot else here as the lime is fairly dominant, though there's some cracker malt as well.

Medium bodied with high carbonation. Very appropriate.

Tasty and interesting, but this might be tough to drink a lot of. The acidic character and biting flavor of the fresh lime is somewhat overwhelming. This is probably a successful execution of their vision, but weird doesn't equal good, unfortunately. This one just wasn't for me.

A 22 oz bomber with no visible bottled on date on the bottle. Poured into a Spiegelau IPA glass.

Appearance: It poured a golden straw yellow colour with a three finger white head that had pretty good retention and left nice lacing.

Aroma: Strong lime with a touch of grapefruit pith and lemons.

Taste: Like the aroma, tangy lime is at the forefront followed by some lemon, zest and grains.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Overall: This was not bad but perhaps a bit too much lime such that it overpowers everything else.

Copper pour, almost 1/2" white head on it. Looks nice. Wish it weren't out of a 22oz bottle though, those are never good choices from a $/value perspective. Lacing and retention weren't all that. Some lime and muddled hops in the aroma, its good. Simcoe? Plenty of lime though.

Unique in terms of what makes up the parts of the sum, I dunno if the sum is all that though. I got a Sorachi vibe which I wasn't expecting. Crystal malt? Ugh, that malt and person is garbage. Too much lime in the mouthfeel. At $10 a pop, not gonna happen again.
