Bomber bottle w/o freshness information

Pours hazed lighter Amber, near golden. Minor fine bubble off white head and moderate bands of lacing.

Sweet tropical fruit nose

Loaded with the advertised pineapple juicey fruit notes.....on the sweet side...strong sweet, vinious...tasty stuff...I like it...

I love Pipeworks, but this one was just ok. Tasted a lot like their saisons (which are not tasting that different to me). Meow would like it to taste more like pineapple.

Flat yellow and cloudy. Huge fluff white head that subsides with a little spotty lacing.

Light pineapple scent is overshadowed by a yeasty funk. Smells sugary.

The pineapple is faint and I was really hoping for more. It has a light tart vs. sugary dichotomy. Yeasty with phenolic banana.

Medium body, crisp, and juicy. Surprisingly drinkable for 10+.

A pleasant Belgian pale but I was hoping from a lot more juicy pineapple.

Pours a pale straw yellow with a slight haze and airy carbonation that dissipates rapidly.

The aroma of the Belgian yeast seems to stand out above everything, but there is a subtle tropical and citrus fruit aroma.

The flavor of pineapple hits the tongue immediately with a crisp citric bite.

Light-bodied, heavy carbonation, sweet, fruity, and slightly tart.

Overall, this is certainly not PDubs' best work, but interestingly refreshing nonetheless.

Pale canary yellow, juicy look to it with a thin layer of white foam that fades quickly.

Aroma is slightly fruity, not in a specific pineapple way, but it's definitely fruity with a slight amount of yeastiness to it.

Taste is a little yeasty, slightly bready and mildly fruity like citrus or dried pineapple.
Medium bodied with light carbonation that ebbs away slowly over time.
Overall it was easily drinkable, but a little low on the "bling" and pineapple.

750 ml bottle (1 pint 9.4 fl oz.) with no apparent bottled on date present. Handwritten Batch #200 written on the label. I'm not the biggest fan of Belgian ales, but I am a fan of Pipeworks, so we'll see how this goes.

Poured into a clear balloon snifter glass.

A - Pours a pale murky yellow colored body with some orange highlights when held to the light. An aggressive pour conjures about a finger's worth of white bubbles that dies down to a ring quickly. No lacing.

S - Smell is pretty nice. Authentic pineapple juice, some Belgian yeast, maybe some grapefruit / orange hop aroma, and just a hint of alcohol fumes. I can distinctly smell the lime juice as the beer sits also. Awesome. A mouthwatering aroma.

T - Taste is definitely unique, I will give it that. Natural juicy pineapple, Belgian yeast, & sour bread dough. Maybe a tad soapy. On the finish, I could really taste the tart citrus from the lime juice. Bready pilsner malt is in there if you look for it, I guess.

M - Feel is crisp, smooth, sweet, and citric at first, but finishes dry. Sticky pineapple / lime juice lingering on the palate. Light to medium bodied with nice carbonation. High alcohol content is very well masked.

Overall, it's an easy drinking beer especially at 10.50% abv, although I'm sure it is destined to doom me. There is a lot going on here, although not a lot of your typical Belgian style ale characteristics, which might disappoint some people. In my case, it suited me just fine. Definitely glad I got to try this.
