750 ml bottle (1 pint 9.4 fl oz.) with no apparent bottled on date present. Handwritten Batch #200 written on the label. I'm not the biggest fan of Belgian ales, but I am a fan of Pipeworks, so we'll see how this goes.

Poured into a clear balloon snifter glass.

A - Pours a pale murky yellow colored body with some orange highlights when held to the light. An aggressive pour conjures about a finger's worth of white bubbles that dies down to a ring quickly. No lacing.

S - Smell is pretty nice. Authentic pineapple juice, some Belgian yeast, maybe some grapefruit / orange hop aroma, and just a hint of alcohol fumes. I can distinctly smell the lime juice as the beer sits also. Awesome. A mouthwatering aroma.

T - Taste is definitely unique, I will give it that. Natural juicy pineapple, Belgian yeast, & sour bread dough. Maybe a tad soapy. On the finish, I could really taste the tart citrus from the lime juice. Bready pilsner malt is in there if you look for it, I guess.

M - Feel is crisp, smooth, sweet, and citric at first, but finishes dry. Sticky pineapple / lime juice lingering on the palate. Light to medium bodied with nice carbonation. High alcohol content is very well masked.

Overall, it's an easy drinking beer especially at 10.50% abv, although I'm sure it is destined to doom me. There is a lot going on here, although not a lot of your typical Belgian style ale characteristics, which might disappoint some people. In my case, it suited me just fine. Definitely glad I got to try this.

Tasted in a Rastal Teku from a 1 pt 6 oz bottle on August 14, 2016. Tasted again on October 31, 2018. An unfiltered beer brewed with pineapple and lime juice. Worth a try.

Pours hazy straw golden in color with a one finger white head that has good retention.

Smell has some light Belgian notes that has some light pepper notes along with a light fruity acidity. Malt is grainy and straw like with a slight sweetness. Nice light herbal hop aromas compliment the fruitiness nicely.

Taste has great Belgian yeasty spices, mainly clove foreword. Some light fruit esters follow before a sweet citrus acidity cuts it along with grainy malt.

Mouthfeel is good. Moderate thickness and high carbonation give this a nice fluffy mouthfeel that is not thin by any means. There is also a mild dry finish.

Overall this was a good golden ale. I personally preferred the cash 4 golden ale as the sweetness and acidity weren't as high but I enjoyed the added complexity.

This beer tastes VERY different depending on how you're drinking it. On its own, it's a delicious Belgian-style pale ale with a good amount of wheat, a sweet aftertaste, and just a slight hint of pineapple. However, after drinking most of the bottle, I went to my kitchen and ate a few hot taquitos (basically spicy doritos), and upon taking another sip of the beer, found that the pineapple shines through pretty strongly. I had my girlfriend try the beer before and after eating the same chips, and she said the same thing.

So it seems to me that the other qualities of the beer overpower the pineapple taste unless your palate has already been altered. I'm sure not everyone will agree with this, but it was certainly interesting to me!
