Yellow to the point of radiance and iridescence this IPA has an unfortunately poorly built head. The color was so pretty that it gets a higher score.

The nose is quaint but aromatic with a lemony sweetness, grapefruit, pine and a grassy malt.

The flavors are appropriate with lemon, grapefruit rind, a pine resin, tree sap, caramel malt, despite there being none, and a grassy wheat.

The feel is light and crisp but soapy and resiny.

This is a really easy beer with plenty of flavor and a solid base. My only complaint would be the odd soapy finish.

Now known as "Peckerhead Wheat IPA", the taste of exotic hops no longer rests on the common caramel backbone of pale malt, but now bready wheat enters the fray with hearty bread tones and cracker-like crispness.

The beer kicks off with a light golden color with a tinge of peach through its center. Its surprisingly light haze allows for a brighter glow that would be expected from beers of both wheat and high hops. Its whispy white head collects on the surface and skirts the glass evenly and lightly. Its strong retention trails with broken rings of lace in its wake.

Bright hop aromas shed light on both citrus and tropical fruits as it seemingly bursts with pink grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, passion fruit and apricot. All that is supported upon the scent of thing caramel, light honey and bread dough. The malt seems to give the fruity hop flavors a sense of being riper, juicier and sweeter.

As its short-lived sweetness goes from floral honey to caramel, a taste of graham crackers emerge and carry the beer's malty upstart into its fruit-filled middle. The blend of citrus and tropical fruits align on the tongue for the slight taste of "Hawaiian Punch" and dream sickles. But its fruitiness turns playfully grassy, chivy and herbal in finish- reminding the senses of the close relationship of hops and cannabis in its lingering smooth bitterness.

Light in body, the ale dries wonderfully early and remains crisp and clean throughout. Its zesty carbonation gives a lift to the beer's acidic fruit properties and allows for a light tangy feel to accompany its light warmth in finish.

Peckerhead is a fantastic IPA that isn't simply content with the mundane recipe that everyone knows. Employing new and creative hop varieties along with an arsenal of grain ensures that its finial taste is invigorating and comfortable.

Tried this drink at rockhouse in red river gorge, an amazing ipa with a great smell and strong flavor. My favorite ipa right now

I had this on tap at the Mellow Mushroom in Bowling Green. This is one of the more accurately rated beers on BA in my estimation. The color is a nice bright yellow, I didn't get much head on my serving. The flavor was pretty good for a genre I'm not overly fond of, some slight hops, mild, so as to not overpower some of the wheaty citrus flavors.
