For the love of all things holy and caffeinated, a mixup on the brewhouse brings a double java load to the stout that shares many natural affinities for Nate's coffee. When life gives you lemons, you make beer!

Little Black Train becomes a Little fast train even while its black body takes the aesthetics of dark roast coffee, even equipped with a thick espresso-like creme. Strong coffee aromas abound. All things with the soil, robust, peppery, and woodsy character of fresh ground coffee beans align in the nose to the delight of coffee lovers near and far. Soft sweetness is of cream and caramel along with the roast taste of pecan, light smoldering ember and a hint of yogurt.

Much of the same transpires across the middle palate while the sweetness recedes and the earthiness of coffee intensifies Becoming more and more sided with the bean, the barley kernel plays less and less of an influence as the stout properties are quickly dwarfed by the coffee. Any hop bitterness sis easily attributed to coffee and not the broad woodsiness of hops as the ale trails into a long and roasty finish.

Medium full on the palate, the soft tannins of coffee and the light simmering alcohol of the beer give a lift to the beer to promote a drying agenda the helps the ale to achieve a high rated of drinkability. Iced coffees have met their match as long as the tandem of Nate's and Country Boy keep this lightning bold of a beer on tap.

On tap at the brewery.
Pours pitch black with a creamy beige head. Plenty of lacing.
The aroma is dominated by very fine black coffee. The coffee dominates the flavor too but is not as strong as the aroma suggests. Well-balanced and nicely bitter-sweet.
