Pushing hops to the forefront, Country Boy places a complex profile of citrus and earthy aromas and taste on display for a rich balanace of both hops and malt.

The beer opens with a slightly rusty and solidly hazy appearance. The beeer builds a dense and creamy ivory-white head that's somwhat spotten and also laces intemittenly for an impressively broken session.

Resiny and malty aromas deliver the notes of pine and citrus along with complementary notes of grapefuit, spruce, pine sap, grasses that round out the sharply acidic scent. But then there's the sweeter, more caramelly scent that balance the nose in most reverent rescue.

The taste does much the same as the semi-sweet taste delivers a malty-rich sweetness and bready tate that balances against the onslaught of hops at mid palate. The finish of fleeting malt flavor are surplanted with the growing hoppy grapefruit, grass, and pine notes that balance the malt but never dominate appetntion. This delcious balance continues sip after sip.

Medium bodied, maybe slightly full, the beer offers a complex malt and hop balance that promotes slight warmth and dryness above the hoppy display. A malty-dry finish of alcohol warmth and moderate hop resiny feel keeps the beer balanced and enjoyable.

The problem lies in the balance- thought this beer finishes very hoppy and warm, I want more hop dominance and focus on bitterness, taste, and aroma even if it comes at the sacrifice of malt balance.
