Appearance: Cloudy opaque golden, with substantial lace from the can. Big, loopy lace.

Aroma: Fresh floral hops up front, which is not what I expected. A little hint of caramel malts underneath. Enticing.

Taste: Rich and malty, with light toasty grains and bright citrusy hops duking it out. This is a superb and balanced blonde ale with nuance and complexity. Very well done.

Country Boy Brewing - Cougar Bait. 4.7% ABV. 12oz can poured into a pint glass. Canned on 12-15-15.

Look: Body is a translucent pale gold, with a finger sized white head from aggressive pour.

Smell: Mostly grains, grass, and a hint of lime

Feel: Light bodied with some fair carbonation. Easy to drink.

Taste: Grass and wheat comprise the backbone of this, along with some light malt sweetness along with some lemon lime.

Overall: First Blonde Ale here, but I've had Nacho Bait already, so I was kind of expecting how this would be. Pretty easy drinking beer, very sessionable; great alternative to big macro beers.

First time I have tried this beer and it is outstanding. Very light for a blonde ale.

On tap at BWW, Beckley WV

A- pours a pale and clear yellow-straw color with a small creamy white head that reduces to a film floating on top, some lace left behind

S- toasted grain and crackers, trace of floral hop

T- light toasted grain with just a trace of floral and citrus hop, dry finish with a hint of malty sweetness

M- light-medium body with medium biting carbonation leads to a dry and crisp finish

O- easy drinking and approachable, good if you're in a light beer mood

In typical Blonde fashion this American Blonde is Blonde in color.( New drinking game everytime I say Blonde...drink up!) The head was thick and cohesive with a decent retention.

The scent had a cracker, biscuit, cardboard and grain temperament but was slightly less satisfying than expectation.

The taste was strong in the grains and dry malts. A grassy hop character finished the cracker and biscuit like mid palate.

The feel was dry, smooth with a limited carbonated feel and a moderate thickness.

Overall it's a pretty good beer, just won't light the world ablaze.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a bright yellow color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of grains, bready malts. Taste is of malts, but not bready like the aroma, light floral hops, a bit on the mild side. Feels light in the mouth and overall a good session beer, but just a touch bland.

12 ounce can, canned on 04/21/15. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a hazy gold color with about a half inch white head that fizzled away after a short time. There's a small amount of lacing. Not much to the aroma, the brew smells like sweet and bready malt, along with some light citrusy hops. The taste is stronger in comparison to the aroma, but similar as it's all sweet/bread malt and light citrusy hoppiness. I think this would be a great choice to drink on a hot day. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it's smooth and easy to drink. I think it's a good blonde ale, for the style of beer it is I liked it. Bought this as a single, I forget how much I paid for it.
