The Campfire Grille opened about a year ago with new owners, both previously being chefs from Massachusetts.

The food is great - freshly made and reasonably priced.
Sandwiches are unique (roast beef on fried dough bun, cod reuben) in addition to special entrees, burgers, pasta dishes, and a great selection of appetizers and sides (including corn bread with maple butter, house potato chips).

When they first opened, they were more focused on specialty drinks like martinis with cotton candy and chocolate and flavored spirits. We asked them about adding some good local Maine beers to their numerous taps that were being used for coors light, bud light, miller light, etc..

Well, 8 months later they added ROGUE DEAD GUY ALE and ROGUE DOUBLE MOCHA PORTER. They saw the people come in and get all excited about the beer selections. And, within 2 months after that, they decided to have almost all the taps taken over with craft beers.

They have had wine dinners and now they are starting beer dinners.

They are very active on facebook and keep it updated with new taps and dinner specials and events.

A few weekends ago and they had Allagash Curieux, Allagash White, Rogue Mogul Madness, Dogfish faithful, tuckermans alt, Rogue Double Mocha Porter, Stone Arrogant Bastard, Victory Hop Devil. Atlantic Logger Lager to name a few. In previous weeks, they had Maine Beer Mean Old Tom. They expect to have Lunch IPA in the future! Recently they updated their status on facebook that North Coast Old Rasputin was on draft! WOW!

They have a beer menu with a description of each beer. This is a great way to help promote craft beers to folks wanting to try something new.

They are located on Rt. 302 on Beaver Pond, 2 miles from Shawnee Peak, 20 miles from Conway, NH, and about 40 miles from Portland Maine.
