22oz into a tulip. Pours a slightly murky pale golden color w/ a 1-finger head.
Aroma is fruity and floral, sweet. A hint of Belgian yeast.
Taste follows nose. Definitely a Belgian yeast strain, lots of fruity esters, along with citrusy and tropical hops. Some orange and pineapple, vague spice.
Mouthfeel is medium-bodied and soft, nice crisp bitter bite on the finish.
Overall a different approach to an IPA, the Belgian yeast gives it a unique spin. Enjoyable.

Poured from a mini growler into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a very hazy caramel amber, almost exactly the opacity and color of pineapple juice, with a half finger white head that dissipated to a thin film and ring around the glass with light lacing. Interesting fruit aroma of pineapple, tropical fruit, citrus, bready malt and faint hops. Flavor is dominated by orange and lemon juice, mild citrus rind and bready malt, finishing with spicy orange citrus, lightly peppery and mild, lightly citrus hops. Light to medium bodied. A different take on an IPA, but true to its name, with a nice balance of fruit juice and malt. The hops are a bit subdued, but I liked the off-beat flavor combination enough to let this slide. I will try other offerings from this fairly new Seattle pub.
