Stopped by for lunch with my girlfriend after doing some touristy stuff around the music city.

The place has a cool vibe to it like it was part of a train station. There is a narrow but long lounge area that has couches and coffee tables on one side and picnic tables. We ordered a flight with Flying Dog Old Scratch, Yazoo Hefe, Terrapin Rye Pale, Highland Kashmir IPA and a Youns Double Chocolate Stout. The vibe was pretty relaxed at this time.

Service was good and selection was deceant but not excellent.

My second Flying Saucer visit... Austin was my first (what was their first location)?

Nice digs in a converted train station or something, but hard to park if you're from out of town, or even hoofing it I guess. I found enough time for a quick one with 30 minutes on a meter across the way.

Great selection, and a very good bartender. The crowd was slim as it was prior to work letting out. I felt welcome and it was nice, but I didn't feel like it had a particularly "Nashville" vibe - in fact, I kind of felt like the whole Flying Saucer was also just a tourist like me ~ it didn't quite gel. Why? I don't know, and maybe I'm half off the rails on this one, but that's how I saw it. Still, I'll probably head back the next time I'm in town (in like a week or two).

Great place in a historic building. Rathskeller style beer hall with high ceiling decorated with plates and plaques of people who've drank 200 beers there. Beautiful Dark wood decor, with a bunch of taps 50+ as I recall, several bottles too. Service was good, we were in on a Sunday and it wasn't very busy. Friends had food, and it looked great. Cool menu of beer-drinking food. Plenty of local beers, which is awesome. I see there are several locations throughout the heartland. I would stop at any of these that I happen to be near in my travels. I would say this is a must-stop in Nashville.

Pretty standard for a Flying Saucer but it has a funkier vibe than some (thinking about Dallas for instance).

Solid selection as should be expected. Food is typical for flying saucer. Staff is friendly. It is in a great location to grab a drink before doing something else downtown in walking distance (Johnny Cash Museum, Ryman etc.). Also compared to the beer offerings at most of the honky tonk type bars around it, it's damn tough to beat.

It's all about selection, selection, and selection. You can't find this many taps anywhere else in Nashville. The bartenders are awesome and the vibe is laid back. It can get busy some nights, and food menu is average, but nobody's coming here for the grub. It's all about the beer at the Flying Saucer, and they are killing it.

A very popular place to drink great beer in Nashville. Has kind of a club/lounge/house (home, not the music) feel. Service can be a touch lacking when it gets crowded, but still a fun place to go with a group, especially after visiting the neighboring Frist museum. Pretty extensive beer list with good weekly specials. If you like craft and are in Nashville, this is a good place to start. Worth seeking out if you've got a weekend.

Parking sucks.

Outstanding place to grab a beer in Nashville. I Like all of the flying saucers I have been to. Great beer selection. Always a fun crown and our server was very knowledgeable.

What can I say? Probably the best place in all of Nashville to get your drink on and it's located next door to the Frist so you can get your art on and let some of the booze wear off. I'm a UFO member working on my green plate so I've hit this place enough to know it's pedigree. Thing is that they have a decent food selection too, although the Pork Belly sandwich is gone and you should be sad for that, even if you're never had it. Large tap wall, drink specials every day of the week (the "fire sale"). Just join the UFO club and make what you drink count towards something.

I will straight up start with I like this place has a neat vibe to it it's in part of an old railroad station. Lots of taps good local representation my only beef was I felt like stouts were under represented maybe time of year? I think I've become jaded though because Tennessee distro is kinda average I felt they didn't have anything stand out on tap, but it's still a very solid tap list. Food is fairly average their renowned pretzel is good but not astonishing. A fairly knowledgable bartenders which is very nice I asked for a fruity IPA the last time I was in and she laid it on me.
