Tap at the new brew pub. With the last two reviews coming back in February, hopefully this has gotten much better.
Pours a nice fluffy fizzy 1/2 finger head fades semi slowly with nice lacing over very hazy golden tan saison color.
Nose light saison farmhouse earthy aroma, light grassy hops, some citrus lemon rind and orange with light spices, little grainy malt.
Taste nice lighter saison with soft malts little wheat, nice lemon zest orange and citrus flavors with spices, some grassy almost spicy hop with decent bitterness, light bready grainy malts, hint of fruity esters, but very little farmhouse funk. Finish has lots more spicy hops and light spices little earthy malts.
Mouth is med bod decent carb.
Overall pretty good, impressed as i had low expectations. This seems to have improved drastically since the last two reviews... and I'm sure of that since I was drinking it with rudzud next to me and he had a sample and agreed it was completely different than he remembered from his review. So Cheers to High horse for taking feedback and improving.

Had on-tap at the establishment. Served in a small-mouth tulip.
Beer was slightly cloudy and golden in color. A half-finger, white foamy head quickly dissipated leaving little lacing on the glass.
Smell was excellent - lots of sweet belgian spices and hints of light fruit or maybe some citrus - pineapple or lemon, bananas, etc.
Taste was downright disappointing compared to the promise of the nose. Not bad, just ... bland and one-dimensional. There are no hops to speak of in the taste.
This beer was almost over-carbonated for my tastes, which says a lot since I like my saisons a little fizzy. The lack of a big foamy head hurts since it might help cut through the carbonation (a la Fantome). It is very easy drinking though.
Overall, I'm not sure what to really say about this beer. I'm particularly picky about saisons and for me, this fell flat.
I can see where Rudzud mentions that this might be OK if reworked as a Tripel but there are other issues that would need to be worked out for that style, too - lack of a head, too much fizz, etc.
There's nothing memorable about this beer except for the great aroma. On the other hand, it's not a "bad" beer - it's just unremarkable.

Had this on tap at the "brewery" while in Amherst. Had high expectations for this, let down big time.
A - Clearish golden hue pour with a thin white head that faded to leave a slight halo.
S - The best aroma I've had from one of these guys beers so far. Strong floral notes followed by a great tripel quality smell of bubblegum and bananas. Nice yeast notes too and a little funk.
T - Ah, theres the let down I've come to expect from High Horse. All those triple qualities overpower what makes a saison a saison. Now if this was a tripel this would be an alright beer as it has nice bubblegum/banana notes, but not a saison.
M - Yep, average carbonation for a saison. Light on the carbonation, goes down easy.
O - Overall yet another meh beer from High Horse. The nose on this was excellent, then it fell horribly flat. Pass. Go to ABC instead.
