Picked up a single from Craft Beer Hop Stop 10-9-17 for $3.99. Canned on 9-18-17.

Beer poured dark brown with a nice off white head with the initial pour.

Nose has like chocolate with a light roasted malt.

Taste has an okay lightly roasted and hopped porter base beer with what appears to my palate this weird artificial coconut flavoring. Finish is like a dry cake.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied and pretty smooth.

Overall, not seeing what the fuss is about...guess it is just my palate. Base beer is okay at best and the flavoring just did not do it for me. Reminded me of Southern Tier Pumpking.

LOOKS: Black, with a half finger of quickly fading tan head. Mild lacing down the glass.
AROMA: Lots of dark chocolate, sweet pecans, and I'm getting more of a peanut butter vibe than coconut. Right out of the fridge...might morph into coconut as it warms.
TASTE: Up front, big milk and dark chocolate, sweet pecan pie on the finish. And the coconut comes through on the finish, as well.
FEEL: Medium-ish body, slightly sticky up front, dry on finish, and average carbonation.
OVERALL: Love the chocolate and sweet pecan/nutty flavors together. I'd say it's just slightly thinner than I want, for the ABV, although no alcohol taste is present; and, the coconut is coming off more like peanut butter. But, tasty, nonetheless. I'll be back.

Appearance: A modest bubble show produces a finger's worth of beige foam on the espresso colored liquid; some ruby highlights in the corner of the glass as well as plenty of nice lace

Smell: Chocolate, coconut and pecan praline (maybe I was influenced a bit by by the label)

Taste: Chocolate and praline forward, with pecan and coconut flavors building; there is a bit of a bitter, somewhat metallic flavors that emerges, after the swallow, and that lingers underneath the sweeter tones right through the finish

Mouthfeel: Medium to full body with moderate carbonation

Overall: A bit of a gimmick that sort of works; fun to try once, as others have said

Thanks, kevindp9, for the opportunity

Pours a dark black with a tan head. Smells of coconut, rich chocolate, and roasted malts. Tastes of sweet rich chocolate, coconut, praline, roasted malts, and toffee. Medium-heat body and medium carbonation. Overall a delicious and sweet porter, but you definitely can’t have more than one.

Poured into stout glass black with hints of brown when held up to the light with thick tan head. It smells just like German Chocolate Cake frosting tastes and they nailed the praline pecan flavor! It's rich and sweet and every bit the dessert beer. The indulgent sweetness probably means you won't drink two of them back to back, but if you're like me, you'll enjoy one quite a bit.
