A very traditional Irish-style Red Ale brewed with pale, biscuit, chocolate and caramel malts to give this beer a round and mellow palate and remarkable drinkability. We use British and American hops in this brew to balance the malt palate and then finish the beer by adding a kiss of Lanark County maple syrup to complete the smooth and smoky-caramel tones of this beautiful Irish-style ale. Charged with a blend of carbon-dioxide and nitrogen, this beer pours with a classic pub-pint “cascade” and forms a tenacious head that makes it too cool for school! Slainte!

A very hazy golden amber pour with thin head that dissipates quickly leaving a thin collar around the glass.

Smells of hops, sweet malts and a barely present note of honey.

At first it's overly sweet with some lingering alcohol. Sweetness remains throughout the whole glass with some further sweets such as caramel and maple coming through.

Extremely smooth and creamy with little carbonation. Goes down very nice and but leaves a very sweet and sticky feel.

A bit overly sweet but a nice one off. Glad I tried it but likely won't have it again.

The beer is clear amber, an off-white head, little lacing and small curtains.

Smelling of nuts, brown bread, some honey.

Brown bread, grass, nettles.

Little carbonation, smooth and soft texture, medium body.

Slightly flat impression, not bad, but lacking some malt stamina.

Half pint at the brewpub. From notes.

A - Pours out with a golden body. Bright with a one finger thick and creamy white head . Great retention and great rings of lace all over the glass.

S - Light nose with a light hop and very creamy, sweet smelling malt. Light but satisfying and inviting.

T - Nice sweet malt with a clean hop note, a little sugar, and bread.

M - Extremely smooth with good carbonation and a medium creamy body.

O/D - Nice. Very smooth and sessionable. Tasty and the ABV is alright for an afternoon session. The complexity is lacking but for the ABV and style it works. Definitely not as boring as the style can be, that's for sure.
