750ml bottle. 2nd Anniversary.

A: Gorgeous bright body that is more gold than copper. 2 finger head with nice retention. I'm drooling.

S: Nice hop aroma, huge tropical fruit notes.

T: This is how I like my double IPAs, hop forward, fruity, dry but with a nice light malt backbone to balance it out.

M: Good carbonation. Fits with the style. Not much alcohol presence for a big beer like this at 8.31% (quoting bottle)

O: Colorado needs more IPAs like this. Too bad this is seasonal and comes at a $11.49 price tag for a 750ml. Would crush sixers of these all year.

Bottle date 5/9/14 drank 6/12/14
Bottle corked and caged

A-pours a transparent amber with a 2 inch white foamy head with good retention.

S- Aroma of citrus and tangerine with only a hint of grapefruit

T- Taste starts with some sweetness only to convert rapidly to some mild hop bitterness. I was surprised especially for a DIPA. The bitterness was not 'in your face' but pleasantly bitter if that makes any sense. The hop bitterness is incredibly balanced with the malt backbone.

M- Good carbonation making the feel of this beer quite smooth and creamy. Really nice mouth feel.

O- This was such a surprise and I cannot believe this was bottled only once. This beer hides the 8.31% incredibly well, making this dangerously crushable. This beer would sell like crazy if they bottled it more often. As I started drinking this beer, I did not want the experience to end. This beer reminds me a lot of Trillium's Congress Street IPA.

Picked up a single from Craft Beer hop stop and Late July for $2.99. Bottle Date May 19th 2016. Beer poured golden with a nice white head on the initial pour and has some pretty good Hang Time. Nose is tropical and citrusy, very nice! Taste is of peaches, mango, and some grapefruit and a very light hop finish. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied very smooth. Overall I was quite impressed with this beer. Definitely would do this one again!

750 ml bottle, 2014 2nd Anniversary. Pours slightly hazy copper gold with a medium creamy white head that retains well and laces the glass.

The aroma is piney, dank, resiny hops with some garlic and onion notes and a little sweet malt in the background.

The flavor is some sweet bready malts with a lot of bitter piney, resiny hops. Again with some slight salty garlic and onion. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and a little watery.

Overall, an OK piney, resiny DIPA. It's a bit watery with some salty garlic and onion notes.

This pours a cloudy amber color with a big, very white head. The aroma, as expected, has lots of hops--big sticky citrusy, floral hop notes, along with strong sweet malt. The flavor is quite good: high bitterness balances the substantial maltiness, with a citrusy hop flavor that complements the ale fruitiness. Quite a good mix and easy to enjoy, with a lot of big flavors that nonetheless blend quite well, in balance.

750ml bottle i picked up for $9.99. Not sure why I gave Elevation another chance since I think most of their beers were average to poor (First Cast) with the exception of Oil Man. Maybe it was the mention of Simcoe and Mosaic on the label but either way this was one of the better IPA's I've had from Colorado in a while. Orange color, huge white head. Great hoppy smell of citrus, and fruits, dare I say West Coast? Flavor was pretty close to the nose, very hoppy, pleasing, and the alcohol was well hidden. Nice job Elevation, I am going to buy another bottle asap.

Bottled one month ago today on August 24th, 2014.

Served chilled into a goblet, 7437 is a slightly hazy golden amber with thin short-lived head. It leaves a bit of spotty lace as it settles.

Aroma is full of complexity and depth. Primarily hop-driven character with citrus, tropical fruit, and pine.

Flavor is also complex where just about every hop adjective I can think of comes to mind. It has the traditional west coast citrus and grapefruit, Pacific Northwest pine and bitter zest, and more traditional European spice and grass. The malts don't just hide in the background but rather "elevate" the beer, pardon the pun. They add sweetness with caramel and honey.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied and nicely carbonated. It has great balance for a double IPA and, despite the freshness, seems to hide the ABV pretty well.

Overall an excellent double IPA and a pleasant surprise.

Just loved this beer from the moment the cork came out. Perfect sweet hoppy nose, great carbonation kept those fresh hops coming at me. Bottled June 10, drank Aug 8 and what a fantastic DIPA it was. One of the best smelling hop packages I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying. Sweet, dry finish, the crystal malts really complemented all the varieties of hops and hid the ABV well.

One of the best, IMHO, highly recommend
Had a second and third bottle of it, and raised my rating to perfect, this is a darn good IPA

*New batch came out, bottled 5/19/2016 in the 12oz size, drank 7/14 - This is even better than I remembered or perhaps it is even better now. My favorite IPA of all time, raised my rating to perfect ----

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium copper amber with a half finger white head that dissipates to patches with light lacing. Aroma dominated by tropical fruit with hints of piney hops, light stone fruit, light bready malt. Flavor is light sweet mildly caramel malt, amazing mixture of tropical, berry and light stone fruit. Not very intensely hoppy until the finish when a slowly developing hop bitterness reveals resinous piney and mildly citrus hop flavors. Medium bodied with a hint of creaminess. An very flavorful imperial IPA with the most complex, but well balanced fruit component I can remember. Deceptively subtly hopped at first, but reveals an appropriate resinous hoppiness in the finish that surprisingly shows off some nice herbal hop flavors. An enjoyable flavor progression and interesting flavor caused this one to rapidly grow on me as I drank it. Nicely done and different.

The very informative label lists the hops as Galena, Simcoe, Citra, Mosaic, and Chinook and rates it at 95 IBUs. Inviting aroma of mango and honesuckle. Big foam on the clear golden brew poured in the Belle-Vue gueuze glass.

Hugely aromatic with all the hops in your life passing before your eyes. There is a vast malty undertone, but it's all golden and light. Alcohol does not really add to the taste. This gets rather sharp after some sipping, but it's balanced by the richness. Notes of flowery hops. A meaty flavor that is quite welcome in a DIPA. I've rarely tasted a beer so thoroughly tasting of tangerines, with the tangy juice and the bitter peel.

A sudsy and sensual mouthfeel with a moderate bitterness. Overall, a hugely flavored and hoppy brew but a mellow, friendly giant. From the 750 ml bottle purchased at Mayfair Liquors in Denver. Bottled on 05.09.14.
