500ml Bottle as a gift from Liverpool:
Reddish to caramel amber with a 0.25cm head that is made up of fine bubbles & disappears completely after a couple of secs.

Medium strength on the nose with a sweet base of caramel malts & toffee. Brown sugar & treacle feature with ripe fruits too. Toasted notes, plenty of sweetness & a tiny hint of hops round things off.

Sweet like the nose with some malts & caramel initially. The sweet fruits from the nose are present here too & slightly stronger with the dates most noticeably. There is some sugar coming through as well alongside a good amount of toffee.

A clean mouthfeel to this one with a smooth, medium to light-medium body and a crisp finish that is also quite sweet. The beer is an easy one to drink and has quite a lot going on. Carbonation is about medium and there is a good balance throughout.

A terrible appearance but things quickly picked. The beer seemed to have more depth than a 5.2% abv. beer usually has & there was a lot going on with a good sweet and fruity base. A very good beer and one well worth grabbing if you are in the Merseyside area and happen upon it.
