12oz can from Brewer's haven. Light violet pour with a small airy head. Berries first in the aroma, followed by pie crust, graham. taste brings light tart notes. All blended together this makes a ncie facsimile of a berry pie.

12oz can poured into a snifter.
A: Dark ruby body, chill-hazed and well carbonated with a hefty off-white head.
S: Tart berries but the pie-crust sweetness carries the show here; graham cracker, baking spices, vanilla, and lactose are all apparent.
T: More pie crust and whip cream with a nice berry character, soft and tart blueberry and raspberry, faint lemon peel, nutmeg, lactose...this is good.
MF: Nice dancing carbonation on a medium-bodied tart sour.
O: Much better than the peach kviek, not quite as good as the Cherry Pie offering, but very enjoyable. The sweet pie and graham crust characteristics are uncanny in these brews.

not quite a berliner, but there is not a category for generic american sour yet here on BA. still, this is yet another exceptional and unique beer in this series, i continue to be impressed, and this one is way more refined than the chunky peach cobbler. its pinkish purple from the can, with some nice carbonation to it, a welcomed sign after a disappointing texture on the peach. its done with blackberries and blueberries, along with graham cracker and cinnamon, and it really is a success. my brother in law called it reverse pie, because you taste the crust first, and then the fruit. the graham cracker is obvious and really does taste like pie crust, cool with the little bit of cinnamon and a slight sweetness in here too. the fruit is natural and potent, cooked and stewed and sort of concentrated tasting to me, equally proportioned and present through the whole drink, great with the crust, and honestly pretty cool with the simple and clean lactic souring too, a quick pucker but not too sour to drink a lot of, and very well refined. i kind of taste it forever even though its not sugary, the berries pop and the finish is bright with all the bubbles and the citrusy acidity. very cool beer, among my favorites in this excellent series so far. i love the appreciable crust element this has!
