Poured from the 12 oz,. bottle into a stemmed tulip.
a: Very dark clear ruby with a finger thick offwhite head which receded slowly.
s: Strong black mocha coffee and smoke.
t: Follows the nose, smoky notes in the finish.
m: Light with watery notes, good carbonation.
o: A decent porter, sessionable, the bitter coffee notes in the flavor grate a bit but mellow out towards the end.

Poured into an English nonic pint glass.
A-deep black; dark brown/ruby red highlights when held up to the light. A thin, tan, and creamy head that stuck around for a short while; a little sticky lace left on the glass.
S-Burnt malt; light roast coffee; a little smoky; roasted barley; lightly salted caramel malt; baked brown bread.
T-Light, yet slightly chewy; burnt caramel; smoked barley malt; roasted sweet toffee; hints of caramel; fresh; light chocolate; light black roasted coffee beans; roasted brown bread; carbonation on the high side of medium; aftertaste was just a little bitter from the hops.
M-Lighter in body; crisp for a porter. Fairly balanced
Overall, a drinkable beer that reminded me of an English style porter because it was on the lighter side (in body and ABV). Easily drinkable and smooth.

Clear brown colored beer with a small tan colored head.
Smells strongly of coffee and chicory strong reminds me of Louisiana coffee.
Starts out with a strong coffee flavor. Bitterness is on the high side of low. Tastes like Italian cappuccino soda.
Mouthfeel is light.
Overall not a bad beer. This is a good choice for a light porter.

Warm dark golden brown in the glass. A modest head with pleasant carbonation. Slight grainy aroma.
Some buttery taste. Roasted malt with some charred taste. Long aftertaste of grain with a touch of bitter coffee grounds. This is a more austere style of Porter, and with the low alcohol it does taste more like the English variety. Quite drinkable but nothing remarkable.
From the 22 oz bottle bought at Emigration Market in Salt Lake.

Beer #22 in my great Utah Brew Hunt.
Was quite pleased to see this available. This is why I review beers: to be able to try new breweries productions and put the word out, if it deserves it.
This is a consistent brew. Thorough malt body with a spice tone to it from hops that doesn't hijack things. It does push it all the way to the edge though, for the style. The body is a little bit light, but the whole thing works. Strikes me as a mix between an English and an American porter.
Also. $2.99 for a bomber? Nice!

22oz. Bomber
Pours a nice dark brown color, nice carbonation, nice little fizzy dark tan head, with some minimal sticky lacing left behind. The nose is malty, with some nice chocolate/toffee notes. The taste is slightly bitter, roasty, malty, with some nice dark stuff. Medium body. Not a bad brew to have on a slightly hot day.
