Same ownership as the Dray in Ballard (Yard = Dray spelled backwards. Sorry to spoil that.) They Dray is awesome. The Yard is awesome.

This a soccer/craft-beer bar with very good ameri-mexican food. Yeah, I know, that doesn't really make a lot of sense but it doesn't matter.

There are two outdoor tv's with picnic tables and 2 layers of indoor seating. Arrive early to secure a desirable spot to watch a match as there are a lot of seats with less than optimal views. The sound will always be on for sounders games, euro/world cup and key european league matches.

The taplist isnt huge - maybe 12 in total. I love that they list what each beer will be replaced by - gives you something to strive for. During Seattle Beer Week, they had a Cascade tap takeover - there is always awesome stuff on tap during the more normal schedule.

Service has been great every time.

This place has killer chips and salsa and a variety of really good tacos. The menu is pretty simple, but it works.

The decor on the inside - much like the Dray - is fantastic and very interesting.

Wow - surprised this exceptional beer bar hasn't been reviewed yet!

The atmosphere is laid back and the layout of the place is awesome. There's 4 or 6 large picnic tables outside in the yard (which is gravel), then an open, covered bar area on a deck with a few tables, which is connected to the small inside restaurant and bar. There are also 2 tvs at the bar for games.

Only 12 taps, but they use/rotate them to perfection. There are normally 3 taps of IPA, a couple dark taps, a couple Belgian style, a cider, a lager, and something special. All of the offerings are not "common" selections of the style found in WA. This past weekend, they have Big Time Icculus IPA, Everybody's Country Boy IPA, Tieton Cider, Bitburger, Ninkasi, Cascade Stout, Deschuttes Abyss, Laurelwood Green Mammoth, Boulevard Rye on Rye, and a few others. Another much appreciated service they offer is showing each keg "next up" on each tap line.

Service is ok, Food is good (and random: mexican style) but a little overpriced. All in all, I'd say it's hard to beat when the sun is out.
