From a can: Dark yellow, not quite orange color with a decent head. Foresty aroma with some earthy notes. First taste has a rather sharp hops bite. Not fruity at all. The flavor seems to be dominated by the malt and a woody yeast taste. As it warms in the glass, the unmistakable flavor of crystal/caramel malts starts to take over. Just OK for me.

I am revising this review. The first couple of batches that were tap only were quite good. The cans have a murkiness to the aroma and flavor that I am just not a fan of.

Delicious beer. Nosenis grapwfruit and dank hops. A bit subdued. Maybe old. Not malty, though. Pretty bitter. Dank, resinous hops. Nice grapefruit orange citrus flavor. More grapefruit. Lingering bitterness.

A: Pours a golden/orange color. A small white head forms that fades to nothing in a second. Minimal lace is left behind.
S: A light grapefruit bitterness up front. Not a lot of depth here. Just bitterness, along with a woody and soapy aroma. Almost detergent like even.
T: Like the nose, grapefruit bitterness. Outside of that some soapy, and woody flavors. Almost literally like wood. With a simple lingering bitterness. Odd to say the least.
M/O: A medium body with moderate carbonation. Crisp with a soapy and oily consistency I am not a particular fan of. I have had this a few times, and have just never connected. I try to like it, but in the end, I am just looking for the next pint.

I have always gotten an overly "woody" and detergent like soapy character with this. None of the fruity spice flavors I love in Ry IPA's. Being generous, this is pretty much the definition of average. If being critical, the woody and soapy flavors make this something I don't want to come back to.
