On tap at Hay Merchant.

A: Pours a dark black, nearly opaque color. A two finger tan head forms with good retention and lace.
S: Peppery spice, roasted malt, acrid burnt coffee.
T: Follows the nose with a pepper like spice Some light roasted malt and chocolate. Burnt acrid coffee again.
M/D: A medium body and carbonation. A bit thin and watery for my tastes. Not hard to sip on, but one is enough.

Certainly not bad, just did not do much for me. Worth a try, but not something I will likely to revisit soon.

Perhaps the worst porter I have ever had. I hate anise and there is a definite black licorice taste. Won't buy again.
