Buffalo Bayou Brewing Co

Style: American Double / Imperial IPA

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 9.10%

Availability: Rotating

Notes / Commercial Description:
Surprisingly balanced and drinkable given its stats. While most American Double IPAs use West Coast citrus hops, we went with old world noble hops to give it a floral, grassy bouquet and then punish you with Warrior hops.

DO NOT ASK FOR WHOM THE COWBELL TOLLS. THE COWBELL TOLLS FOR THEE.

A- Pours a golden orange with a thick off white head that doesn't dissipate.

S- Sweet citrus, nice hop aroma. Some pineapple.

T- Mmmmm. More citrus. Maybe some blood orange? Hop bitterness on the back of the pallet.

M- Dry, and slightly astringent. Light carbonation.

D- A decent IPA from a solid brewery.

The Buffalo Bayou More Cowbell is a true DIPA. Trying it at Mojos Sports Bar and Grill in Hobble, TX. It poured a clear golden with white head that is leaving a lace. The scent is dominated by sweet malt and pine resin. The taste is alcohol and pine mixes with sweet malt. The Mouthfeel is fuller in body with smooth carbonation. Overall it's a big beer. One is enough for me.

A great Imperial IPA from Buffalo Bayou Brewing Company in Houston, TX. One of my favorites. If you like IPA's, you will enjoy this one. Only available on draft at this time, so I fill up my growler when I can find it. I have a fever and the only prescription is MORE COWBELL!!
