A historical session beer, Gose was first brewed over 1000 years ago. Light, crisp, low in alcohol and refreshingly tart, this beer is ridiculously drinkable. Small additions of sea salt and coriander add light salinity and spice, while German Perle hops add just the slightest amount of bitterness and noble hop character.

a clean and well made gose here, brighter and more clear in the glass than a lot of them are, yet with a pretty flavorful wheat malt base, more grainy than most i reckon. the sourness is on point, its really clean and adds a bright citrusy tartness to this, summery and refreshing, not at all too acidic to drink this by the pint, and mild enough to let some of the more delicate flavors stand out in here. there is a nice floral coriander character to this too thats great with the wheat malt, survives through the sourness, and makes this light and springy in the finish. a soft toasted element here too, maybe from the grain, makes this hearty for what it is, more substantial than i am used to in the style, but in a good way. some grassy hops in here at the end with the coriander, a lemon zest note to the lacto sourness, and a very subtle saltiness, not briny or mineral heavy or anything, its really mild, just an accent here, dries out the finish and quickens it up, no more than that. delicious take on the style overall, classic but also distinctive. yum.
edit: i was even more impressed with this the second time around, and am raising some scores pretty significantly to reflect that. this is so light, clear, and refined. its fizzy and dry, its not too sour to want to drink it by the gallon, and its a little bit unique in the fermentation. everything about this is amazingly high quality, and for my money it might be one of the best basic gose types in the country, really impeccable stuff. i need an infinite supply!
