Served in straight pint glass. Poured a lightly cloudy golden yellow color with a very tall, white head (at least an inch in the glass, and well over an inch above the rim. It looked surprisingly like the volcano the brewery is named after, Koma Kulshan. Or if you're into snow sports, Mt. Baker) that had great retention and very good lacing.

The aroma was pretty typical, solid grains, some yeasty spice, a very slight funk, and a bit of fruitiness. The yeast was sharper and tangier on the tongue than in the nose, and was the biggest factor. The earthy grains provided a solid base, and there was just a bit of a peach flavor on the finish. I tried this beer a few weeks ago, and the peach taste was much more prominent, the brewers are looking to tone that down, and dry the beer out a bit more in the future.

The body was good, fuller than typical, but not heavy or sticky at all. There was just a slight sweetness on the finish, but the beer still was decently dry. Drinkability ws good, I've had several, and look forward to several more, both of this batch and future batches. Overall, a pretty good first shot at the style. I look forward to the refined versions in the future. Certainly worth trying if you see it.
