This beer pours from its 1pt. 6oz bottle a deep Amber color with an off white head that is about a finger's width thick. The foam lingered for about a minute.

The beer smells yeasty with some sweet notes.

The initial taste is somewhat sweet and earthy. In the middle, the beer is a bit caramely. It finishes a bit bitter like most ales of this style do.

The mouthfeel is full bodied with the carbonation a bit on the high side.

Overall this is a solid Irish Ale. It is exactly what you would expect from this style. The brewers did not try to do anything fancy or over-hop it. You get what you would expect from this Irish Ale.

Look: Kinda looks like a cup of tea where the bag has been steeping for a little too long. Leaves that nice dark copper color.

Smell: Sweet malts, cereral. All grain on this one, very faint at that. No hop presence there at all sort of expected for this style.

Taste: This is a maltheads ideal session beer. Smooth sweet malts persist throught with faint tea-like aftertaste. Very enjoyable and refreshing.

Feel: A bit thin but overall not too bad, carbonation is spot on.

Overall: Really like this one, picked it up on a trip to Columbus, OH. Too bad I'm no where close to Ohio or this would be in my regular rotation. Go get one if you can find it.

Appearance: Pours a clear, medium amber with a thin head.
Smell: Sweet, malty.
Taste: Very malty, maybe some caramel, toasty.
Mouthfeel: Light body, some carbonation.
Overall: I sampled this beer at AleFest Columbus. I’m not a huge fan of Irish Ales, and didn’t find this one particularly notable. I thought it had a very thin body and the flavor was just ok.
