Barkhatnoye means velvet. This beer was brewed close to soviet dark lagers.
Pours clear reddish-brown in colour with good tan head, which lingers for a long time. Smell of caramel, toffee and hops. The taste - caramelized malts into smooth hop bitterness. Moderate carbonation. It's a decent example of russian dark beer for those who wants to get closer to such the brews.
