Was in a neat section of Dayton where the street is closed to pedestrian traffic. The brewery is located in an old school main street building. There were skeletons draped all over which seemed it should have been a pirate themed brewery. The main bar was large with plenty of surrounding seating. Most of the patrons got "walk around" beers...meaning they can walk the pedestrian street without issue. There was plenty of different beers to choose from....so if one couldn't find something then they don't belong. Overall it is a cool place in a cool location with average to above average beers. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

One of the worst breweries in Dayton. The atmosphere is great for 20 somethings, but not adults. The beer is mediocre, at best. Unruly bartenders and manager will throw you out, for looking cross-eyed. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your money or time.

Inline location in small hip downtown area. Long bar with a good amount of tap selections. A few guest taps as well. Sort of macabre art on the walls fits the vibe. Beers were solid. Good stop if you're in Dayton.

Easy to find and park on a Tuesday evening. Fairly light crowd. Had some metal music playing on the speaker system. The bar tender was friendly and helpful. Cool art on the walls. Both beer and mixed cocktails are available. Wish they had more of their own beer on tap. Had an outdoor area in front that opens up to the street which is great for people watching. Worth a visit.

Quirky spot, right in the Oregon district, Dayton's coolest neighborhood. The beer was pretty off the charts on my first few visits. As I went back, the quality went down just a little. It's still a great place to have a beer and they are fiercely loyal to their community. Still a top five Dayton brewery.

Relaxing atmosphere with a mix of regulars and visitors. Owner was there and very willing to talk beer. Nice that you can get 4oz, 8oz, and 16oz on most beers. The place felt comfortable and friendly and had interesting local art on the walls....oh, and free popcorn and shuffleboard!

Nice location in the Oregon District of downtown Dayton (for what it is...). Place was relatively quiet since I like to hit microbreweries in the middle of the afternoon. Overall, had more of a bar atmosphere than a microbrewery atmosphere, but was still very relaxed and casual while I was there. Reasonable selection of beers. Friendly staff. Due to the bar atmosphere, there didn't seem to be a real opportunity to talk beer with the folks behind the bar like I would at some other microbreweries. In any case, certainly worth a visit if you are in Dayton.

This place was a very pleasant surprise for Dayton OH. In a seemingly trendy neighborhood they are located in an nicely updated older building with character. There is plenty of parking and the taproom is reasonably spacious. Service was good, but it wasn't exactly crowded on a Sunday afternoon, orders at the bar only as far as I could tell. They had about 12 beers on tap and all were solid with a few that were very good. I wasn't necessarily expecting much but this place turned out to be someplace I would go out of my way to visit any time I am in Dayton. When it comes to unknown local places I find that most fall into two categories, the ones that know what they are doing/ understand the modern beer scene, and the ones who have absolutely no clue. These guys definitely know what they are doing.

Stop #417 on my world brewery tour.
Wednesday afternoon around 4:30. Sat at the bar with two other guys who seemed to be regulars.
Did two flights which covered all the beers.
Five Rivers Pale Ale
Imperial Orange Cream IPA
Practice Yoga Session IPA
Gem City Ruby Amber
Black Tonic Stout
Dank Dunkel Dark Wheat
ISO-Heaven IPA
Abby Belgian Blonde
Porn or Pawn Pepper Pale Ale
All the beers except for the stout were very well done. The stout was a bit thin for style. Enjoyed the pepper pale ale and it's perfect, balanced heat. The amber, which I would usually avoid as a pint, was very well done for the style. Clean with a firm malt backbone.
Old rehabbed building (former pawn shop) in a historic and artsy area of downtown.
The brewery was "custom" built by a local fabricator who I suspect was not a specialist in brewing equipment. It was probably the most unusual hot-side set up I've seen.
Well worth the visit and I look forward to return trips as I pass through Dayton.
