7-22-16 - On tap at Doylestown Brewing Company's Hops Bar & Grill. Sat outside on the patio so it was served in a nice plastic cup. Menu describes this as an "East Coast IPA - bold balance strong citrus". 6.5% ABV and 65 IBU. A fine ale that doesn't overwhelm with the hops. I'll get it again for sure.

Brewer indicates "East Coast IPA, 67 IBUs". Served from the tap at the Lucky Lab Tavern in Royersford, this is the first beer I've had from Doylestown Brewing Co. Nice to see another local brewery being supported by local bars.

Appears a clear copper color, with minimal foamy off-white head. Hoppy aroma is fairly tame, but pleasant - a mix of earthy and citrus hop notes. The taste again leans to the hop flavors, but is restrained compared to other more aggressive IPA's. But not enough malt body for it to fall into the English IPA range. So it is very easy to drink, would be a good beer to drink all day. Thin to medium body and higher carbonation.

Almost certain this came from an infected keg. Look forward to giving it another shot.

Poured on Tap in a tasting glass at St. James Irish Pub at the Sands Bethlehem.

A: Pours a lighter color than expected...looks more like a west coast IPA

S: Floral bouquet of citrus and earth

T: a sweetness up front with a tangy, citrusy, finish

M: Very smooth on tongue with a prickly finish after swallowing from the carbonation. Not overly carbonated, just enough

Overall: A very drinkable IPA! It tastes quite delicious and keeps me yearning for another sip. An Awesome Session IPA
