Notes:
Autumnal Saison. Brewed with rye and 50 lbs of Lancaster County sweet potatoes in the mash. Spiced with sage, ginger, cacao, and cardamom. A delightful Fall treat.

From 11/09/13 notes. On tap at the brewpub in Ardmore, PA.
a - Pours a hazy yellow color with one inch of bright white head and moderate carbonation evident.
s - Smells of spices, yams, pepper, cloves, light citrus hops, grains, bread, and yeast. Nose is full of spice; a little bit too much in that department for me.
t - Tastes of spices, citrus hops, oranges, fruity malts, vegetables, pepper, cloves, grains, yeast, and light toasted notes. More citrus than the nose and less spice, a step up.
m - Medium body and moderate carbonation.
o - Overall a decent saison. Not my favorite of their offerings as it is heavy on the different spices, but if you like spicy saisons you may like this one.

First had: on tap at TH
This was one murky beer, burnt peach color with a small, off-white head. Sweet aroma of caramel and candied yams, leafy and full of spices. More of this in the taste, sweet and spicy, bready malts, mild sweet potato, sage, cardamom, potpourri and light ginger, leafy and herbal in the finish. The mouthfeel was fun: soft and fluffy, yet creamy and smooth, medium body. Definitely liked this better than Oktuberfest, but since I hate sweet potatoes, I'm pretty shocked that I liked either beer.
