From draft at TH. Pours a light cloudy pale yellow with a modest head. Lots of dank on the nose, along with tropical fruit. Lots of bitterness on the finish.

From the tap list:

"IPA 6.3% An adaptation of an old BrewCafé favorite from the early days of the reign of Mosaic. Brewed with malted wheat and dry hopped aggressively with Mosaic, Motueka, and Simcoe. Notes of floral apricot, Valencia orange, cooked peach, sweet lime, and unripe mango."

Pours a very cloudy ripe banana color that's completely opaque with hazy straw edges. Frothy two finger white head that very slowly settles into a thick, lasting ring. Great retention with large chunks of soapy lacing coating the glass on the way down.

Dank, spicy hop aroma with earthy pine and juicy tropical/citrus fruit notes. Fresh cut grass, resinous oils, dank nuggets and earthy pine needles. Slightly buttery with juicy tropical fruit, notably mango, pineapple and papaya along with tart grapefruit, lemon pith and orange rind. Very inviting.

Medium body with dank hop bitterness dominating the flavor but it finishes clean and still drinks like a pale ale. Slight buttery flavor but it's not overpowering or too distracting. Grassy and spicy with dry, earthy bitterness that's countered by the sweeter notes. Some tropical and citrus sweetness but not as prominent or juicy as in the nose. Some pineapple and lemon peel sweetness before the bitterness again takes over. As it warms the buttery notes stand out a little more slightly hurting the overall flavor and drinkability.

Grabbed a growler before Thanksgiving to share with family. Poured into a pint glass.

Cloudy, straw yellow-colored body with a foamy white head that isn't huge, but leaves scars of lacing on the side of the glass like a champ.

The aroma is filled with tropical fruits! It's quite potent at first, with notes of pineapple, lemon, tangerine, then slowly becomes more delicate in the aroma, with that sweet orange aroma standing out the most. Not much in the way of malt aromas.

The flavor was remarkable, because it was a true profile of what these hops have to offer. Unique tangerine, mango flavors, but super light bodied, and very drinkable. The carbonation was spot on, and this was a perfectly balanced pale ale in the way of bitterness and biscuity malt flavor to balance that hoppy goodness out.

One of the best pale ales that I have had. So juicy and drinkable. Excellent balance, and a beautiful aroma to match.

First had: on tap at TH, reviewing from the growler

Nice pale straw-yellow color with a slight greenish tint, cloudy, topped with a solid half inch of fluffy white head; retained until the last drop and left sheets of lacing on the glass. Beautiful fresh hop aroma, citrus, grass, autumn leaves, light essence of blueberry. Riding the thin edge between an APA and an IPA, a nice blast of fresh, crisp hop taste, everything that was in the aroma, citrus rind and juice--lemon, lime, grapefruit--fresh cut grass, subtle berry notes, and some unripe pineapple. My love affair with Simcoe continues. Solid but very subdued sweet pale malt base. Tremendous drinkability, soft mouthfeel that still displays a crisp hoppy snap, smooth and clean, light-medium body. Leaves you wanting more.
