32oz. growler into Tired Hands stemware. Shared with schen9303.

Pours a frothy, 1 finger white head with moderate retention. Beer is a slightly cloudy pale yellow. Lacing is thick and layered with excellent stick.

Nose is a robust Brett funk. Notes of unripe pear, pine and a light hop bitterness. Decent.

Opens pear, citrus, pine and Brett. Some resin, pine and and bark hop bitterness in the middle with a pear skin, hay and dry wood finish. Aftertaste is grassy and bitter. Solid.

Light bodied with ample carbonation. Dry and prickly in the mouth and goes down aggressive and crisp. Finishes dry with a filmy, coating aftertaste. Refreshing!

A very solid, refreshing and easy drinking beer when all is said and done. However, I was expecting a bit more character with this one. Still worth trying though.

First had: on tap at TH

A cuvée if you will, of the Solera beers brewed in 2012, each fermented with Brett from Crooked Stave. In case you forgot what these were, here's a summary.
1. Entropic (Cascade pale ale)
2. Galapagos (rye, Galaxy pale ale)
3. Fauna (oat, Simcoe pale ale)
4. Wisdom Teeth (Chinook pale ale)
5. Tortoise (oat, Zythos red ale)
6. Fossil Evidence (Centennial dry-hopped golden ale)

This blend yielded a hazy golden pour with a finger of creamy white head; nice retention and lacing. A good hit of Brett in the nose, light fruit essences, and a bit of funk. Biscuity taste, pale malts, wet grass, leather, light flavors of pear, peach, with just a hint of sourness, some apple skin in the finish, herbal and earthy notes. Clean mouthfeel, very dry, light-medium body. Probably nothing you haven't had before, but a nice beer overall nonetheless. It's nice to see the remnants of these "old" beers transform into something unique when blended.

Crazy thing, this beer has the same name as me.

A really interesting brew, being a cuvee and solera of previous brews.

The beer comes in a slightly hazy golden.

The beer tastes tons of apricot and pears, light fruit flavors. The Brett then attacks with lots of barnyard flavor.

A really interesting brew with a good amount of funkiness and some tartness.
