On tap at Al's/PizzaBoy.

Murky juice like appearance. Nice two fingers of head disappearing quickly. Sparse lacing.
Strong grapefruit and yeasty aroma. Some peach and lemon as well.
Grapefruit, melon, pepper, faint piney flavors.
Smoothly integrated hops and malt. Bitterness at midpoint of the swallow. Dry finish.
Excellent IPA.

Poured into a tulip glass via draft @ Rattle N Hum East (NYC)

Bright yellow in of the few beers I knew I'd enjoy just by looking at it

smell is Orange peel, honeydew melon..dank & pungent

Taste is more Lemon Citrus than orange, but very refreshing, slightly grassy and bitter
medium carbination and nice full body

Haven't been a fan of many Tired Hand beers, but this one is easily among the tops from what i've tried..great stuff!

Can from brewery. Another big fruity IPA in the NE style. Milky yellow pour, nice fluffy head. Tons of citrus, mildly tart. Somewhat dry.. nice, smooth, refreshing.

L - pours a pale yellow straw milky haze. Pineapple juice. Fragile-looking head.

S - lemon and papaya. Maybe some apricot. Boatloads of oatloads.

T - crisp and refreshing. Light wheat, dank pine, dry hoppiness. Pink grapefruit, yellow cake, and sweet buttery resin. Passion fruit. Berries. Dry finish, herbal.

F - light and summery. Medium zest in this one.

O - tbh I was expecting Tired Hands's flagship to be more juicy and crazy, but I'm not disappointed by this. Drinkable with bright, savory flavors.

Can. Really murky pale yellow color with off-white head. Aroma is really intense with lots of chives and dank hops. Taste follows with dank and juicy hop notes, dusty grains on the finish with some dry hop bitterness. Medium plus body with medium carbonation. Quite nice hop character, just a bit harsh.

Sample at Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen 2018, Yellow Session. Really pale hazy look. Aroma is zesty, citrusy with dank hop notes. Taste is fresh, hoppy, dank, balanced overall with light bitterness.

Can stamped 05/09/2018

Attractively cloudy yellow hue with a soapy white head that sticks nicely. Aroma is mixed berries, mango, pineapple, orange creamsicle, and sugar cookie dough. Creamy juicy hop flavors...pulpy orange juice, peach rings, passion fruit, and melon with some biscuity malts and a refreshing mineral sort of quality in the finish. Slick, creamy, easy-drinking feel. Very nice - there's something about these Tired Hands hoppy beers that I love.

Pours an opaque milky light yellow with a one inch white head that left a lot of lacing. Smells of citrus fruits with a little malt in the background. Intense citrus flavor with predominant notes of lemon and grapefruit, a hint of rind and a lingering sticky hop bitterness. Medium bodied and carbonated with a quite dry finish.

Murky, pale yellow body; frothy, sticky, white head. Lemon-like aroma; a bit a light cereal grain sneaking through; lemon bread. Grapefruit and lemon tartness and flavor; intense bitterness. Medium-heavy body; piercing tartness with a sharp dryness.

This is a killer beer, replete with palate ripping bitterness offset with just the right amount of citric tang. Crazy-good...

Not quite an IPA, not quite a DIPA, something sessionable but with something extra - great mouthfeel, aroma and sweetness mixed with tropical hops goodness.

As I started writing a negative review, the after taste got to me. It felt way too fruity sweet at first. But I must say, as it sits longer in the chops the hops come through...that friendly, lingering in the back of the mouth, hoppy flavor I love so much. I wouldn't buy it often, but maybe on a warm day it would be a good go to fruity flavored IPA -- it's dirty but light!

16oz can, served in a snifter glass. Pours a cloudy and hazy lighter straw yellow body. One finger thick white head, great retention, lots of lacing. Smell is tropical fruit, peach, grapefruit, a bit of resinous pine and grass, light caramel. Nice mix of hops going on here. For the most part, this translates onto the palate- there is a bit more grapefruit zestiness and a bit less tropical and stonefruit, and a good bit of resin, pine and herbal bitterness, though that is relative as this isn't a particularly bitter beer in the traditional IBU sense. Nice grainy sweetness, a bit of caramel to round off the edges. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, creamy and appropriately carbonated, refreshing and so citrusy. An outstanding IPA which checks off all of the boxes as far as I'm concerned, although I guess if there were a checkbox for it being local to me, that would be the only missing one...

Beer provided by @thebeers. Many thanks!

Look is hazy grapefruit juice and poured with a finger of off white head.

Aroma is mainly tropical and citrus fruits with a hint of pine.

Taste follows nose. Nice mix of tropical fruit with maybe grapefruit or even lemon and some pine coming in at the end.

Feel is soft and supple. Carb is moderate. Medium to full.

Overall a fantastic ipa and I assume their flagship. Nice mix of fruit and a hint of pine with low bitterness. Loving this one!

Poured this canned on 3/14/18 into my Tired Hands Teku glass. Pours like a glass of pineapple juice, with a big 2 plus finger head that leaves fantastic gobs of lace behind, with excellent retention.

Smell is guava, papaya, passionfruit, pineapple, and some grapefruit rind.

Taste follows tropical front to back ripe guava, papaya, pineapple, passionfruit, and just a slight tickle of grapefruit in the very balanced finish.

Mouthfeel is bigger than medium, soft but not too soft carbonation, not dry but a little sticky fresh the insane amount of fresh hops, and this is as drinkable as any beer I have ever had.

Overall this thing is perfect, I wouldn’t change anything, I have had so many great NEIPA/DIPA and none have been better. Thanks THEIPAHunter for this incredible beer.

Alien Church - Tired Hands
IPA - 7% abv
Canned 2/27/18 (11 days ago)

L - 2-finger fluffy white head atop a pale, opaque yellow body.

S - citrus, honey sweetness, pine.

T - follows the nose. Lovely citrus at first, then biscuity malt. Piney middle. Somewhat sweet throughout. Low bitterness, not boozy.

F - Medium body with perfect carb.

O - There is a reason that this has become Tired Hands’ flagship. Hard to find fault with it.

Why we go to Threes in Park Slope and places like it. To discover beers like this.
a) Pours a super-hazed, cloudy straw surmounted by pillowy white cap that lasts and laces.
s) Fruit bomb. It's mango, papaya and passion fruit astride dank sunshine, wet beach.
t) Bright, fruit bomb. Follows smell but explodes with a fruit salad that's tempered just right by dank and balancing hops.
Strangely blueberry and orchard fruit too.
f) Medium, but the fruit feel persists, nectar like, clean finish.
o) Original, fresh, refreshing, dank, fruity.

I’m feelin’ buzzed and it’s all because “This is how Tired Hands does it!”

All kinds of hella ripe fruits on the aroma, stacked against a devilish haze. When I take a sip of this glorious concoction, I want more. When I set down my libation, I want more. Like your granny at the buffet, I just want more!

Poured from tap at the source. Bright hazy pale yellow color with a thick and long lasting white head. The nose was full of tropical fruit with a bit of coconut and some grass. Bitter grapefruit up front but it gave way to stone fruit, coconut, and papaya. Smooth velvety feel with a clean finish. Outstanding.

Another beer from Houser, thank you, sir. Poured into a pint glass at 38 degrees. A white foamy and airy two finger head with okay retention. The head slowly dissipates and tats lacing on the glass. The color of the beer is SRM 4 a pale gold color. The clarity of the beer is hazy.

The initial aroma is pine, grass, tropical, grapefruit and floral. Additional flavors are lightly toasted malt, resin, crackers, and yeast.

The hops citrus flavors dominate the other lesser flavors of floral, pine, resin, and grass. Additional flavors in the beer are crackers, toasted malt, herbal, and a touch of phenols.

The mouthfeel of the beer is astringent and murky. The body of the beer is medium, the carbonation is medium, and a medium finish.

The beer leans towards a New England IPA, citrus dominate hops with supporting actors. Love the can art. I am glad I got to try this IPA.

On tap at Haymaker in NYC, it pours cloudy yellow gold color and looks like that great NE style IPA which resembles a mix of grapefruit and orange juice. Head wasn't that big, but it was likely the pour as it left good foamy lacing as it went down.

Smells like fresh citrus fruit, floral notes, grapefruit, orange peel, melon, apricot, candied sugar, lemon zest, bread crust, faint graham cracker and light peppery spices. Like other TH brews, it mixes the earthy notes with the citrus accents and balances out really nicely.

Flavor really stands out and like the nose brings fresh citrus fruit, juicy citrus fruit, grapefruit, orange, melon, apricot, faint pineapple, candied sugar, lemon zest, mango, bread crust, faint graham cracker, a buttery sweetness like fruity candy, floral notes, tea leaf and light peppery spices. It hides the ABV, is well balanced and the feel was so incredibly smooth that this was easy and lovely to drink. One of those IPA's that's hard to describe and better to experience fresh, so I recommend trying this.

Poured to a BrewDog stemmed glass.

A: The body is matte yellow, having a color that is just perfect. There's certainly oat on this beer to create this kind of matte haziness. The head is one finger thick, shows regular retention for a NEIPA. Some lacing present.
S: The aroma is very much tropical, having then hints of citrus and resin. So it's basically an-all-round IPA aroma profiles. Citra & Ekuanot may be present.
T: Taste starts off with citrus and resinous profile, having just a mango hint in the back of the flavour. It then moves to more bitter spaces and ends with a very sparkling bitterness that's not too shy nor too bitter. Good.
M: Body is medium. Carbonation is perfect. Alcohol is unnoticeable. Very good.
O: I must state that I'm totally in love with Tired Hands. I want to marry these guys.

16 oz. can dated 8/30/17

Pours cloudy hazy opaque gold with a creamy white foam head. Smells like blueberries, tangerine, grapefruit, melons, passionfruit, guava, pineapple, tropical mango, lemony citrus, some oats, caramelized bready malts, with spicy woodsy dank floral earthy herbal grassy pine. Tastes like piquant blueberry, tangerine, grapefruit, honeydew melon, passionfruit, guava, pineapple, tropical mango, lemon zest, some oats, caramelized bready crackery malts, with spicy dank woodsy floral earthy herbal grassy pine. Feels medium bodied, creamy with moderate smooth carbonation. Overall a really nice IPA.

Two fingers of soapy white foam cap a body that is pale, blonde and hazy. It is lively in the glass and leaves some nice lacing.

The nose is pretty good as far as strength goes, juicy pineapple and tropical hop aromas make me want to drink this faster than I should. Taste is a bit juicy with moderate hop bitterness. The Citra hops come through along with the same tropical profile that was apparent in the nose. The Hop flavors are a little muted though, possibly a freshness issue. It is still a pleasure to drink. It feels soft, smooth and somewhat pillowy. This has a little weight, call it medium bodied with carbonation a bit on the mild side. It is a little acidic as a slight bite builds over the course of the beer.

This is a great IPA, one that I would certainly like to revisit.

Such a great beer: I would say it's Tired Hands best beer. Definitely their best single IPA. Hazy, has notes of blueberries. Totally crushable, whenever I can get my hands on these I buy as many as possible. Thank good or was they're starting to Can it more often!!
