Notes: The Emptiness is Eternal is an oak barrel fermented Saison conditioned on a copious amount of Hachiya persimmons grown by our dear friend Tom Culton at his family farm in Lancaster, Pa. We produced 400 bottles of this beautiful Saison.

Served alongside Back Into the Emptiness and Out of the Emptiness. Big thanks to yourefragile for the share.

The beer is hazy and golden with a small head. The nose brings mild oak, tart citrus, stone fruit. Mild sweetness with notes of vanilla and tart citrus. Quite tasty.

500ml bottle served in a Tired Hands teku glass

Appearance: Pours a golden yellow color with 3 fingers of a white soapy head with good retention and lacing. Body is hazy with lots of visible carbonation and fine suspended sediment.

Smell: Big white wine barrel character, oak, spicy yeast character, pear, mild sourness.

Taste: Nice medium/low sourness hits right away and carries through to the finish. Flavors are tart mango, citrus, white wine, mild-ish funk, saison yeast, mild lacto, and slight oak.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a soft creamy mouthfeel and medium levels of gentle carbonation. Finishes relatively dry.

Overall: Another really good bottled saison from Tired Hands. I think I probably prefer Back into the Emptiness slightly over this, but this is still well worth seeking out.
