Notes: Crushable IPA. Hopped intensely with one of our most favorite New Zealand hops, Motueka! Juicy and refreshing!

Can dated 8/8:
Pours a mostly yellow haze with a very forthcoming white topping. Coral reef lacing is left on the glass. Nose s somewhat single-mindedly floral with some tropical fruit notes (papaya) and with a hint of vanilla (which I don't think is an ingredient).

The feel is delightfully soft. It's medium light body has a nice level of carbonation. The taste has the malts up front, along with that perfumy near-vanilla note that may be lingering in my olfactory senses. There's a little non-specific tropical fruit note by mid-taste, one that come on a little more as the beer warms. The back end has a note I associate with the chosen Montueka hop - a light reedy to somewhat coconut flavor.

A nice, easy drinking pale ale that seems to represent the chosen hop pretty well.

Pint can, courtesy of Steve (thanks man) dated 08/09/18

Poured into a tulip from the refrigerator. About 45F.

Pours an extremely pale, opaque yellow with less than a finger of creamy bright white head that isn't really going anywhere.

Nose is fruity and tropical and juicy, bursting with notes of orange, lemon, mango, passionfruit, and guava. Juice bomb nose.

Palate is big orange and pineapple upfront, tropical fruit juice, papaya, slight piney hops, and a green freshness that Tired Hands seems to be really good at. Lots of juicy fruit. I was expecting this to be lacking in flavor, but no way. This has plenty. Even a faint bittering touch and the end. I'm also picking up on some yeast character, too. It reminds me so much of the yeast in Hoppy Table Beer from Allagash. Just not nearly as strong.

Mouthfeel is on the light side of medium. It does retain some of that wonderful creaminess, but it manages to not be thick. Carbonation is on the slightly lower side of medium. A few more bubbles would have been nice, but I don't mind, because this is great.

Overall this is truly a "crushable" ipa. I despise the word "crushable" with a raging passion, but it fits here, I guess. It really is incredibly drinkable. I drank this so much faster than I wanted to. It just goes right down. An incredible combination of traits - very drinkable, heaps of flavor, GOOD flavor, and great body. This is a NEIPA Light. Really good for when you want something to *drink* but don't necessarily want to sit there and study it, even though you probably could. Great beer. Steve, what a killer extra! Thank you so much.

Poured via can into my Tired Hands pint glass. Can was 2 days old purchased at the General Store. How great is it that the GS is now offering cans besides Hop Hands.

L: A light yellow super cloudy murky color with a two finger bright white head. Not much glass lacing.

S: Loads of citrus and tropical fruits. Lemon, lime, pineapple and cracker malt. Nice full aroma.

T: Wow, this fresh "crushable" IPA really pops with loads of lemon and lime, some pineapple, slight mango, grassy flavors, bisucuit/cracker malt provides just a touch of sweetness that get overtaken at the end with the citrus and bone dry finish. This is a terrific IPA that is so easy to drink.

F: Medium to light mouthfeel, but that's why this is really drinkable. Nice carbonation, no alcohol.

O: To date, this is my favorite TH "crushable" IPA, I really like this one. So easy to drink and really, really enjoyable. I could drink this all year long no problem at all. Very good beer, well done. I'm glad I have another 4-pack or two to enjoy.

From draft at TH. From the tap list: "Crushable Motueka IPA 5.5% Brewed with oats and hopped with Motueka. Dry hopped with the ethereal Motueka and a touch of Simcoe. This beer originally brewed at out precious BrewCafe is a simple expression of the warm months to come. Go ride a bike, please. Notes of lemon balm, light evergreen, juicy pear, fresh cut grass, and affirming spring air." Pours a light yellow with a medium head. Tasty and flavorful.

On tap at TH.

Typical look for a TH beer, straw-yellow color, hazy, with a medium-sized white head, decent retention and lacing. Citrus and light fruity esters in the nose, dried leaves. The taste was similar, citrus zest, pear, herbal and leafy, with a sensation of toasted cereal grains coming in about mid-palate. Light-medium body, soft carbonation, moderate bitterness. A good drinker overall.
