16 ounce can into a munique glass.

Wasn't sure what to expect from this beer. I've had TH pale ales and IPAs and been wowed, but then I had their pilsner and was highly disappointed.

Can they handle an imperial stout?

Indeed they can. This is excellent. Right from the nose I'm finding a lot to appreciate. It's creamy, chocolatey, with a dark fruit medley and a bit of bitter cocoa. All of this carries over to the flavor. It's a bit gooey, chocolatey, heavy on the dark fruit and a touch of caramelized sugar. The finish lingers with coffee.

And it drinks pretty well. Creamy, sweet but restrained, and a touch roasty.

Well, the pilsner wasn't their lane, but this is. This is damn good.

Pours near black, 1" cocoa tan creamy head with decent retention and very good lacing. Nose is roasted malt, bitter hop, black strap molasses, charred wood, light vanilla. Taste starts slightly sweet (sweetened black coffee, some fudge) before bitterness from roasted malt and hops take over. Very long bitter and tannic finish, charred wood and grass. Roasted peanuts as it warms. Some heat (this was canned about a month ago). Mouthfeel is on the moderate side - definitely some weight, but not heavy. Slightly creamy with enough carbonation to break through. This drinks much more like what I would call a Russian Imperial Stout rather than an AIS - bitter/hoppy, dry, even spicy - rather than the sweeter taste I expect from the American version. Either way, this was a fun, unexpected find for me.

Can dated 11/14/22 into pint glass. Pours a viscous black with a dark tan head. Minimal lacing. Initial impression is dark chocolate, roasted malts, espresso, and maybe a hint of molasses. Mouthfeel is thick and creamy. Finish fades to a roasty bitterness. Overall, this is an excellent Imperial Stout. Unfortunately, I only bought a single but this is one that I will revisit if I get the chance.

Got this 16 oz can as part of my winnings from BIF 33, the most complicated, skill based BIF competition of all time.
Pouring at cellar temp into my snifter. Sent by @browniewithnuts . Thank you!
The beer pours a rich black coffee color and looks pretty thick out of the can. A fluffy tan head of about 2 cm foams up in my glass. This foam recedes to a sturdy edge layer and one large wispy island in the center.
The aroma is roasted malts, a bit of a coffee ground note, dark chocolate, some brown sugar and molasses. But the roasted notes dominate, almost charred malt note. No hint of ABV nor of any sort of hop presence. Nose is refreshing as a straight up big roasty stout.
First sip reveals a medium body with a fairly creamy texture and very soft fine carbonation. Beer slides down pretty easy. Does leave a little bit of a coating on my palate after each sip.
Flavor is what the nose predicts with some dark chocolate, high cacao stuff, roasted malt comes in and hints of brown sugar and molasses. This finish rolls back to roasted notes, and I do get very faint grassy hop character after the swallow. never any hint of ABV and the snifter is empty probably quicker than it should be. Quite a nice imperial stout. Would definitely drink this again!

Poured from a 16oz can into pint glass in October 2021. There was a canned on date of 10/18/2021. I bought the beer at their brew pub in Ardmore and drank it within a couple of days.

Appearance: Very dark black with a thin dark brown head with a little reddish hint. Head was about 1 finger high, and lasted a minute. It left only a little lacing on the glass, and ended with a thin tan head still on the beer.

Smell: Aroma of coffee, roasted grain, with some chocolate. There is also some caramel, but overall the coffee and roasted malt dominate the others.

Taste: There is a strong coffee and some smoky roasted flavors> I also taste some chocolate and licorice flavors. Also, There is a small amount of bitter hop flavors to enhance the taste. There is a strong alcohol presence, which matches the 11% on the label.

Mouth-feel: Full body but also smooth. It has a little edge as am Imperial Stout should, and is not as smooth as a milk stout.

This is a very good Stout, and I enjoyed the variety of bold flavors. Even though it is a full-bodied beer, it is still smooth and enjoyable to drink. I would buy this again.

I tried an Ethiopian version of this before that was 10% that was really good. This one has a gone away head that hangs around the edges a bit and this is a dark dark brown colored beer indeed. Malty almost cola like nose with notes of coffee and booze. Flavor is a bit uneven, mostly low bitterness coffee, unsweetened chocolate and booze with the slight bitterness lasting with a sticky ending. Thick full bodied beer here. Getting sweeter and a bit better as I drink it. I’d call it very good.
