Very Good
Notes: Lush Coffee Wheat Porter. Brewed with a plethora of specialty malts and conditioned on a healthy amount of Reanimator Coffee's Foundation roast.

thanks to tenderbranson69 for sharing this enjoyed slightly chilled

The color is dark brown with opaque clarity and thick tan head with fine bead and lots of lace. The smell is strong coffee scents with bits of earthy and green bean odor with mild sweet malt and light toasted grain with a mild pepper and gentle cocoa -there is an almost vegetative aspect to the smell. The feel is bitter and roasted with light sweet element in the peripheral again there is vegetal texture with moderate carbonation and light bitterness in the middl with mild warmth and light nutty feel with smooth coffee oilyness and bitterness that lingers into the finish which is dry.

The taste is good with roasted malt and light coffee with slight herbal flavor and gentle prune-like yeast which is earthy and dry with a subtle green pepper type taste alongside a spice flavor with mild hop and a charred aspect which is very mild but lingers into the dry finish. Overall a decent coffee porter but comes off a bit vegetal...not excessive though. This has plenty of roasted character with that familiar Tired hands yeast funkiness.

32oz growler into a Founders snifter.

Pours pitch black with a 1 finger mocha colored head with decent retention. Lacing is stringy and spotty with good stick and some thin legs. Solid.

Nose is big notes of coffee, liquorice, cocoa, chocolate, and mocha. Deep and rich.

Opens liquorice, chocolate and mocha. Some cocoa powder mixed with dark chocolate, smoke and roasted malt in the middle. Fudge presence lends a nice sweetness too. Finishes lightly tart roast and more cocoa and coffee. Very good.

Light bodied with moderate to low carbonation. Smooth in the mouth and slightly prickly and lively going down. Quenching finish with a lingering, sticky aftertaste. Really drinkable.

It's pretty outstanding the amount of flavor that they were able to pack into such a "little" beer. Really easy on the palate and very drinkable but at the same time, complex and rich. Certainly one I'll remember.
