look: 4.25 | smell: 4.5 | taste: 4.75 | feel: 4.25 | overall: 4.5

Appearance: light straw color, almost the color of white grape juice its so light. a finger to two of a white head with low retention and barely leaving anything behind. almost clear but some haze to it.

Smell: white grape, green apple skin, juicy berries, wheat, some lacto

Taste: opens up with a white grape flavor that develops into a fairly juicy and flavorful berry taste. green apple skins come in along with a wheat-like lacto yeast flavor. some lemony qualities throughout.

Mouthfeel: light and wispy, very refreshing. could use a bit more tartness but still good.

Overall: one of the most unique berliners I have had. the amount of fruit flavor and complexity they pack into this beer is pretty amazing. Also love the interplay between the sweetness, juiciness, and tartness of this one.

32 oz growler poured into a DFH signature glass

Appearance: Pours a pale yellow with less than a finger of a white head that dissipates quickly to a thin ring. Body is lightly hazy with some light visible carbonation.

Smell: Lemon, wheat, mild lacto character, green apple.

Taste: Clean lactic sourness, lemon, grain and a bit of white grape.

Mouthfeel: Light and crisp with medium/low carbonation. Dry and refreshing.

Overall: Tasty and super refreshing. One of the better Berliners TH has put out.

Served on-tap at the pub.

A - Pours slightly hazy yellow with a small half finger tall white head, quickly dissipating down to a very light film, leaving small streaks of lace on parts of the glass.

S - Smells of light grassy hops, lacto sourness, mild barnyard funk, dash of must, lemon, apple skins and some doughy pale malts.

T - Starts off with a lactic twang quickly being joined by the Zythos hops, lemon, dulled must and funk, apple and the chewy pale malts. Finish is pretty dry, lingering for a little while after consumption.

M - Light body with moderate carbonation. Slick with a mild twang at the end of each sip.

O - A nice Berliner in an ever growing series of them. Tastes pretty similar to some of the others I have had from them. Not the best one but still solid.
