Very Good
Notes: Imperial Porter brewed with oats and a plethora of specialty malts. Exceedingly lush and dense.

This beer pushed me over the edge to finally make an account here. Last weekend had at their brewpub, and now served from a growler. Very dark. Smells sweet, slightly fruity, and you can smell the alcohol. For the taste, the alcohol is also noticeable, but it's not too overpowering. One of my favorite porters. Very well balanced. Not too bitter and not too much coffee or chocolate or roasty what-have-you. I really like it. (And I'm a dark beer guy). Glad Tired Hands also makes good dark brews as well.

From 10/04/14 notes. On tap at the brewpub and then a 32 oz. growler the next day.

Pours a dark brown, almost black color, with two inches of dark tan head and moderate carbonation. Looks great. Marshmellows, deep chocolate cake, vanilla, roasted malts, milk chocolate, cream, light coffee, and earthy notes. Nose has some sweet dark fruits and the taste has a little nuts and caramel. Body is smooth and creamy, medium to full bodied and low to moderate carbonation.

Overall I thought this was a fantastic porter; maybe the best dark beer they've done so far. Easy to drink and super flavorful, would drink this all the time if I could. Very good.
