Poured from the growler into a pokal glass. Had on tap recently as well very memorable and enjoyable, time to give this some more attention.
Deep solid black walnut body, pouring out with a lighter mahogany. Head fills three fingers tall, fluffy like light tan cocoa top and creamy. Thick whip and good sized bubbles in the head, with a chunk of lacing and some good staying power. Excellent and inviting.
Deep and wondeful aromatics. Kaffir lime leaves. Basil and large oils. Hints of mild cocoa powder and chocolate notes, with a hint of roast and coffee. Rich smelling, with the lime quality in the fore front. Comes out like good pad thai and inviting.
Palate brings the goods just as I remember them. Clean roasty light lager like finish, with lime oils and classic hinting thai like herbs. Chewy body with leafy oils, mild sensing chocolate that comes out as dark cocoa. There's almost even a hint and feeling of coconut sweetness with this guy, as the roast and lime qualities just bounce wonderfully between each other. Clean light supportive body, easy drinking but contributing a good quality of lime leafy oils to the palate nicely.
Reminds me a good bit of the spice character and imagination if Indra Kunindra (although a much different flavored animal). Great creation, would love to have this again someday.
