Baltic Porter brewed with a plethora of specialty malts. Gently hopped with Cascade. We then lagered this beer for many moons. The final result is a dense, yet silk-smooth drinkability that will make you want to scream.

Beer #7 of the 4th All Hallow's Eve dinner. Paired with Black Jack Doe Run (Only Void Black Garlic cheese), apple, spicy black garlic honey. Pairing rating: 8.5/10.
One of TH's best stout/porter offerings for sure. From what I gathered, this is basically a lagered Guillemot base, so this comes somewhere between a Baltic Porter and a schwarzbier. Whatever you want to label it, this was tasty. Dark brown-black pour, with a creamy lasting head. Dark malts in the aroma and not much else (typical porter). Robust maltiness in the taste, dark sugar sweetness, balanced with some mild roasty bitterness, all kept in check with a schwarzbier-ish yeastiness. Everything worked well here. Pairing this with an after-dinner cheese was a great idea, especially considering the cheese was made with Only Void. It was a hard cheese with a decent sharp twang, and pairing it was a lager-ish beer I think was really the way to go. Dense monuthfeel, and a good drinker overall.
