Having a hard time understanding the appeal of this one. The hops aromas are enticing as I pour, lots of mango, pineapple, and other tropical fruits. Strawberries are faint and a bit of a place. On the palate, the strawberries are slightly more noticeable but even more out of place. They come across as a weird distraction. This just isn't for me.

Honestly was underwhelmed with this one having seen the 95 score. I think it's a pretty standard milkshake ipa in which the taste falls short of the aroma.

Strawberry is often a difficult flavor to translate into beer, but this nails it. Delicious, creamy, and fruity.

Poured from a 16 oz can into a Dogfish Head tulip
L: Hazed golden pink pour with big fluffy white head. Great lacing.
S: Strawberries, citrus, and vanilla.
T.F: Semi-sweet and fruity up front. Definite strawberry... tangerine/citrus, mango, apple peel, grass, lactose, and vanilla. It has a bit of tang as well. Medium bodied and smooth. Strawberry jam and citrus to finish.
O: A world-class milkshake IPA and one of Tired Hands originals. One to seek out.

I am not a fan of oddball IPA beers. This a milkshake IPA beer. The last concoction IPA beer I had was not that good. The beer is 38 degrees and served in a pint glass. The head produced from the pour was dismal. A half on finger white head that is airy. The color of the beer is SRM 3 a pale straw with golden hues. The clarity of the beer is hazy. The beer is just over two months old. Overall the appearance of the beer is okay.
The aromas in the beer are oranges, strawberries, milk, toasted malts, a honey-like sweetness, lemons, mandarins, and grapefruit, and a touch of floral.
The flavors in the beer are vanilla, oranges, strawberries, milk, toasted malt, lemons, mandarins, grapefruit, wheat, floral, and a touch of herbs.
The mouthfeel of the beer is astringent and dry.
The body of the beer is medium, medium-high carbonation, and medium finish.
This beer is okay. I do get the strawberries and the milk but the milkshake part of the IPA, I do not care for.

This one pours a lightly hazy golden straw yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells great - fresh strawberry puree, orange, grapefruit, vanilla, and lactose.
I guess this is the original milkshake, and it's still a very tasty beer. The strawberry is done in a judicious way, with a nice jammy sweetness, but nothing overwhelming. The vanilla is also done well - the strawberry creamsicle feel is nailed. It still actually feels like an IPA, as there's a great zesty juiciness and some light grassiness on the back end.
This is creamy, but crisp, with a great level of drinkability. I could drink a lot of these - which is something I cannot usually say for milkshake IPAs.
It's hard to believe that this could be considered an "approachable" milkshake, but it really is.

Appearance - Pours opaque dull orange with a nice white head that settles to a thick ring. Spotty lacing all around the glass.
Aroma - Lactose, oats, vanilla, strawberry, fresh hops. mosaic coming through nicely.
Taste - Nice vanilla, mosaic again coming out well, less strawberry than the nose but still present.
Feel - Medium bodied good carbonation, drinks more like a good IPA than a milkshake. Not super thick or creamy.
Overall - Well done IPA, hit al the notes of vanilla and strawberry, I like that the hops are not masked.

Pouring from a 16 oz. can into a snulip glass, this beer pours out a light and cloudy orange. It forms a pinky worth of tingy white bubbles to form a crown.
The nose brings faint strawberries mixing with slight vanilla and a thick sweetness. Almost green hop bite and a little bit of cracker like malt showing.
The taste brings in a faint strawberry/vanilla yogurt sweetness but is more dominant with a big time peppery presence. Some green hop notes and a dried out cracker background. Almost like the yogurt previously mentioned with some orange juice splashed in.
Not hugely thick or full for a milkshake, and only slightly creamy. But it is smooth.
Overall, it’s really not what I expected from my first Tired Hands Milkshake after all I’ve heard. It’s much more subdued on the Milkshake aspects than expected and heavier on the ipa aspects than expected, maybe that’s why it appeals to a greater audience? The balance is respectable, I just wanted a little more.

Cloudy pale orange with two fingers of antique white head. Spotty, soapy lacing.
Strawberries, cream and a little grass in the nose.
Less strawberry in the taste, although it’s certainly present. Very peppery. More milky than creamy.
Full bodied with some prickliness to the carbonation.
It’s a good beer, but not as fruity as many of their non-fruited IPAs and I’m not getting the same blast of vanilla I get from many of their shakes. Worth trying, but not my favorite in the series.

8 oz. on tap.
Pours hazy pale yellow with white lacing.
The nose is strawberry, orange, and vanilla yogurt.
The taste is similar. Lighter on the palate than expected. Strawberry, mango, and dank Mosaic. Minimal lingering bitterness.
The mouthfeel is medium for a milkshake.
Overall, very good. I've had beers from TH without fruit that are even fruitier, though.

Not bad. All the hallmarks of a Tired Hands milkshake, but not much of the strawberry was coming through for me. Plenty of vanilla, not so much strawberry. Maybe it's just me.
